I just found out that after 3 years Ibrance 100 mgs/anastrozel is not working. I only have a very tiny spot on my lung. Bones etc no progression. Scans looked good except for that tiny 1.1 mm on lung.
my oncologist has been doing genetic testing and just sent another one for gardent (sp?) she mentioned Piqray (sp?).
many advice? She wants to do PET scan and biopsy but I think I should wait until she gets the results of the gardent test.

I wonder whether one tiny spot is enough to conclude that ibrance isn't working. However, recent research indicates that ibrance doesn't work for many people. Perhaps it would be useful to have the PET in case there are other tiny spots elsewhere. If the spot in the lung is very tiny, it may be difficult to biopsy so that may not be productive.
Is it possible to do radiation on the tiny spot and stay on Ibrance? You can also try Orserdu if you have the ESR1 mutation. It is brand new. I have been on it for a little over 4 months and it seems to be working.
3 months ago a new lesion was found on my mother's spine(she had only bone mets). Ibrance continued. now ct shows many liver lesions up to 34mm . the bones are stable. it seems that it was necessary to change the therapy 3 months ago. talk to the oncologist about the experiences of others and also make pet ct.
1.1 mm is tiny and really shouldn't be considered progression it could be inflammation and be gone on your next scan. Was there a typo if it was really 1.1mm and your doctor is calling that peprogression and stopping ibrance I would be getting a second opinion right away if it was me!!!
I am on ibrance and Letrozole...Everything is good
They found a tiny white spot all so on my lung...they are not concern..as the meds are working bones are fine🙂
Only question I was asked if I have a cough or mucus...Answer no..
