Possible over treatment with Levothyroxine
Hi everyone, I’m new to the site. It was suggested that I make a post following a comment I made replying to another post as I may benefit from some guidance on my current treatment. I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid 9 years ago. I have been treated with Levothyroxine throughout. Since 2020

Persistent AF
Hi everyone, I have been to see my cardiologist today. Had all the usual tests done he asked me how I was feeling I said I felt really well. He then told me I was no longer in Paroxysmal AF and I was in Persistent AF. How can they tell? I have got to have an echocardiogram done and a machine fitted

PSMA scans and radiation of oligometastases
I need some advice on a subject that I know has been covered before: PSMA scans and radiation of oligometastases. G4+5=9, RP in 2014. Positive margins, IMRT and ADT in 2015. PSA undetectable until 2019, now slowly rising at 0.40, doubling time 11 months. My questions/concerns about the scan

Excessive Nasal Mucous
I have been treated for underactive thyroid for around 30 years. The past decade I keep experiencing what is like very severe cold symptoms on a regular basis. My body produces excess amounts of thick green slimy sticky mucous, my sinuses get blocked, I have endless nasal drip/cough and it makes me really

Abalation Fears
Hi All Today I went and seen my Electrophysiology specialist and have booked in for an ablation in 2 weeks time. I am quite anxious about this whole procedure. He advised me it would be a 70% success rate and mentioned he does not like quoting over this rate. 70% is based on having no more AF episodes

Heights Smart Supplement - should I stop? Advice
Hi guys, After recently finding out I have Hashimotos (going to the Dr on Thursday) I have been taking stock on what I take and whether it is beneficial to me or could cause harm. I take the Heights Smart Supplement and wondered what you guys thought of what is inside it. I was mainly worried because

‘Normal’ results but feeling terrible
Hi, I have an underactive thyroid (35f) and was diagnosed 5 years ago. I think my Dad (60m) does too, in April 2021 I persuaded him to get a medichecks test done. I have attached a screenshot of those results. I have persuaded him to get another medichecks done to see if his results are different. He

Hiccups update.
A little while ago I posted seeking advice on my having developed hiccups after upping my dose of B1 to 2ml jabs twice a week. The hiccups morphed into violent convulsions after a while. As I pointed out, the traditional treatment for hiccups is incompatible with Levadopa. The less effective alternates

liver biopsy- what does it mean.
Oncologist doctor ordered the biopsy last year but never really explained it. He only said that the cancer was caused by the prostate cancer. Which was a good sign. Immunohistochemical stains demonstrate tumor cells are positive for NKX3.1, PSA, TTF-1 and focally for CK20, while negative for CK7

hi there, Asking for hubby 54 who runs twice a week, plays table tennis, walks 40 mins a day, healthy diet (although we are looking at sugars, fats and the various debates), has done dry January due to a dodgy bilirubin result which corrected in 4 weeks not drinking. Cholesterol blood tests from

shortness of breath subsequent to zoledronic acid infusion
Because of GI problems, bisphosphonate tablets are not an option for me, so I have gone down the infusion path.
