Thyroid plus testing
Hi I have had a full set of bloods done all within normal range! Including thyroid antibodies, ferritin, iron, vit d etc ... but no sign of t3/4 as expected! I've been to see another endo consultant who basically told me that the 2.5 stone I've put on is tough and that it's just me! I'm starting to

Thyroid/cortisol - any advice/help for self-treating appreciated
I am new to the site and wanted to get my blood/spot results back before posting. I have had all the symptoms of being hypothyroid for most of my adult life. Apart from two tests last year, one was hyperthyroid and then a month later hypothyroid, my tests are always "normal". I have a multinodular

3lb to go until I reach the 7stone lost
3lb off losing 7stone, best thing is bumping into people that I hadn't seen for a while and them not recognizing me, I'm always asked "what's your secret" people find it hard to believe that I've not had a gastric band, the only trick I have is to stay strong and motivated xx

Carbs and sugars
In a quest to be the right weight for a 5ft 2 stature, whereby I can plot my 57 years in dress sizes, have tried most diets and got perilously close to having a gastric band, any tip s for replacing carbs and sugars in my diet, a self confessed carb sugar and chocoholic.

Change of Meds after Gastric Bypass
Just changed from 2x 150mg Pradaxa to 2x 5mg Apixaban after a successful gastric bypass last Friday. The apiaban should react better. Anyone else changed from/to these meds?

Weight loss is more in the mind than in the stomach...
I was reading a post about Gastric Band Surgery and the before and after support they have...and how eventually, their success (or not) can depend more on their state of mind than the size of their newly reduced stomach! I am of the opinion that my need to eat is rarely related to my appetite...it is

New member who has had weight loss surgery.
Hi Everyone. I'm new here. I'm not sure how I will fit in here, as I am a weight loss surgery patient. I started putting on weight in my early 20's and by the time I was in my mid 30's I weighed well over 250 pounds. I had my last son at the age of 40, and by that time my weight had sky rocketed
