Change of Meds after Gastric Bypass

Just changed from 2x 150mg Pradaxa to 2x 5mg Apixaban after a successful gastric bypass last Friday. The apiaban should react better. Anyone else changed from/to these meds?

I never liked Pravdaxa Sometimes it felt difficult to swallow and I developed a dvt and pulmonary embolism while taking it.

Why did you change?

Due to having a gastric bypass. better absorption with apixaban

Yes I did, I found Apixaban much more benign on the GI than Pradaxa.
