So I had to change my rheumy appointment as I had to have an operation. It turns out I have breast cancer, and with my huge family history of breast cancer plus the type of cancer they've found in me, the surgeon is recommending a preventative bilateral mastectomy. I hope I look as good as Angelina Jolie

Had partial gastrectomy two years ago, still having diarrhoea most days on mainly protein/ dairy diet recommended by dietician- HELP!
Weight loss is big problem and would love more interesting diet. Have to eat ever few hours and take creon with all food. Also take high doses of loperamide and tried codeine, but no change. Dr's are stumped.

Shikha's Story - Part II
Starting from where I left.... I started chemotherapy first week of April, 2008. My hair was shorter by choice to avoid the shock of losing it all at once. I have no idea of the emotions that my mom would have gone through, those of my husband, my 2 year old. The focus is at me. We read and read

My husband had a total
gastrectomy
on the 8th of Jan 2012 - quickly followed on the 11th Jan a surgery as his bowel had risen and popped through his diaphram and fused with his lungs. This then caused pneumonia. He has been home since 21st of Jan.

47 years old Male, an amazing wife who keeps herself fit trim and healthy despite a mastectomy . Then why do I weigh 118 kGS and am 5ft 11 in tall.?Sort yourself out! Used to go to the gym 3 times per week. Change of job no nearby gyms but a pub within 100 yards of my office. It has to stop. No alcohol

Anger and anxiety
I recently lost my sister for breast cancer. She was only 32 years old. We found out that there is a gene that runs in the family and my other sisters have it. They had to undertake a double mastectomy as a preventive measure. I am the older and the only one that does not have the gene. I am struggling
