Itching Post-Mastectomy
I'm post bi-lateral mastectomy about 16mos. Sometimes I get the most severe itching on the right side of my chest. Also, I feel the zaps of pain & itching around different areas of my chest. I had implants removed. I experience numbness & tightness in my chest area. Dr's all say this is normal nerve

Happy Boxing Day everyone! I'm wondering if anyone has experience of high PTH levels and High calcium? I am post mastectomy and now on Tamoxifen but the GP and the oncologist have referred me to an endocrinologist now to check my parathyroid glands. I'm also due a bone scan. I'm ok about this and

Hi all, this is Steph, Juliets daughter here. She has asked me to post on her behalf. My Mam was given news this week that it is a matter of weeks now, possibly months. She has been in hospital since December 7th and any intervention is too risky. She was going to be treated with a venting gastrostomy

Bile reflux?
I'm 7 months post
gastrectomy
and about a week ago I was awakened by a horrible burning like heartburn in my throat. As I don't have a stomach I assumed this was bile reflux - the first time I'd ever experienced it.

Today is six years since my initial surgery for a left sided mastectomy. I remember feeling scared, confused and unsure if my future. I was relieved when the surgery was over and then began the battle! Four months of chemo, injections for the tissue expander, another surgery for reconstruction and then

B12 injection dose
Hi, I am 57 years old and had a total
gastrectomy
9 years ago on 29 May 2008. Because my stomach has been removed my body cannot absorb b12 from foods or tablets. I have to inject myself with b12. My doctor believes that the correct dosis for b12 deficiency is 1mg per month.

Just starting ibrance
I was originally diagnosed in 2002 and had a bilateral mastectomy and then in 2006 it moved to my bone and had 28 rounds of radiation. 11 years with no evidence of cancer then in August it reared its ugly head. I am not on ibrance and Letrozole. I honestly do not feel any different so it seems that

Chemotherapy medicine with lesser side effects
Hi, This is my first time here. My mother has been diagnosed with breast cancer. This is the 3rd recurrence. Last time was almost 11 years back. She had undergone 6 chemo sessions for both times. She had suffered a lot during those times, the side effects were really bad. She had mastectomy done last

Just needing some reassurance regarding my breast seroma. Had mastectomy in August and 3 months on I have developed seroma. I have had it drained 3 times, but it just keeps returning. I have 3 more weeks of chemo to complete then I will have radiotherapy in the new year. Will they still continue with

Results...At last !
Well got my results today.(Following my post below ) They found the cancer in my left breast. It is lobular invasive Her2 + and hormone receptor -. So could be better. It hasn't spread though there were different opinions at the multidisciplinary meeting as there was just a speck near my sacrum. So

Made it!
Just wanted to thank everyone for all the good vibes you took the time to send my way... Mastectomy was yesterday and here I am on the other side! The anaesthetist was amazingly reassuring and I didn't lose my mind. Few deep breaths and then she sedated me so heavily before she put me to sleep so I never
