within 14 days of mastectomy, i had to go through a re explorative surgery due to internal bleeding and clotting. is that going to make my hand stiffer than the others. how long will i have to do physio? should i wait for physiotherapy to get completed before starting chemo? right now i am able to lift up my arm a little above 90 degrees without any discomfort.

Think Doctor Sumeet would be the best person to answer this. How are you now napra? God bless you dear. Take care!
Hi napra - wait lets ask Dr Sumeet for the help - meantimes whats your age now
hi kontak i am a cheerful 59 yr old, with a positive outlook and i find pleasure in the simple things around me. My hobbies are painting, reading, watching Tv serials shamelessly, chatting with friends. In fact hobbies have become primary occupation now. For my age i am quite tech savy (LOL). i dont love cooking, but i love my family very much and so i cook quite well. how do u like my bio data?
1. No, it is not going to make your hand stiffer in any way. Continue your exercises.
2. Continue Physiotherapy, and start your chemotherapy as well. Ideally, chemotherapy should start by the 3rd or 4th week after surgery. You do not have to wait for physiotherapy to get over. Move your shoulder in all directions.
3. The shoulder exercises should be continued life long. In the initial few months after surgery you may do it more frequently. Once you achieve a good movement, you may do it only twice a day.
