My bun, pth, potassium all went down and are in range. Calcium in range. Glucose in range. A1C 5.3. the only number that was bad was phosphorous which

Foot Cramps
Can anyone suggest anything I can take for foot cramps. I am currently taking 600mg pregablin, ramipril, hrt, zapain and naproxen aswell as iron, calcium and magnesium. The cramps are becoming more and more frequent and my Gp said to eat bananas and rub magnesium into my feet. Last night was unbearable

Calcium D3 Supplements
Are any of you diagnosed with Osteoporosis taking supplements, Calcium, D3, K, etc. even though blood tests show normal range? I have been advised it is not necessary to take supplements if blood tests normal. Too much Calcium may increase risk of other health issues. My PCP advises taking multivitamin

Long term ADT bone loss mitigation tips?
My post RP BCR was diagnosed 8 months ago when they said, "you will be on ADT the rest of your life". I am on Lupron and abiraterone 4 months now. I am taking 1000mg of calcium per day and 2000IU of D3 per day. If I am lucky enough to last years, what else can I do to prevent the loss of bone? Thanks

Cutting out pop and takeaways sounds sensible. I cut out dairy products and most carbohydrates but I am cautious about recommending that as eating too much protein and not enough calcium to remove the amino acids may have caused the kidney stones which I have developed. I should think most of those who

Possible over treatment with Levothyroxine
Hi everyone, I’m new to the site. It was suggested that I make a post following a comment I made replying to another post as I may benefit from some guidance on my current treatment. I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid 9 years ago. I have been treated with Levothyroxine throughout. Since 2020

Weight and Exercise
I became diabetic so lost weight. After about 3 months I had lost 2 1/2 stone by giving up dairy, most carbohydrates and all big meals. I was then able to stop Metformin. I then found I had large kidney stones. Once they are taken out I may know more about what may have caused them. It could have

Calcium Citrate questions
I’ve been taking Calcium Carbonate on and off for over 5 years but my stomach really doesn’t like it. It makes me gassy and and causes me to have stomach ache. I have read that Calcium Citrate is more gentle on the stomach so I am trying to find what the equivalent calcium citrate is to calcium carbonate

First DEXA shows osteopenia - hoping for some advice please
Hello everyone, this is my first post to Bone Health, but I have posted to other Healthunlocked forums recently as I’m trying to work through my various health issues. I’m in the UK and hoping to get some advice from those more experienced than me please. I paid privately for my first DEXA scan in April

It's all confusing regarding which bread is best a lot of bread nowadays has high salt, a lot of different breads are advertised for osteoporosis, and also the oxalate and phytates that block calcium absorption, it's all confusing.

My calcium level appears low within bone profile blood tests. Are these an accurate representation I wonder?
Diagnosed with osteopenia after having Dexa scans in 2016 and 2023 and breaking wrist and arm in separate incidents of slipping on ice.
