Possible over treatment with Levothyroxine
Hi everyone, I’m new to the site. It was suggested that I make a post following a comment I made replying to another post as I may benefit from some guidance on my current treatment. I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid 9 years ago. I have been treated with Levothyroxine throughout. Since 2020

Weight and Exercise
I became diabetic so lost weight. After about 3 months I had lost 2 1/2 stone by giving up dairy, most carbohydrates and all big meals. I was then able to stop Metformin. I then found I had large kidney stones. Once they are taken out I may know more about what may have caused them. It could have

Hello everyone, this is my first post to Bone Health, but I have posted to other Healthunlocked forums recently as I’m trying to work through my various health issues. I’m in the UK and hoping to get some advice from those more experienced than me please. I paid privately for my first DEXA scan in April

best bread for osteoporosis
It's all confusing regarding which bread is best a lot of bread nowadays has high salt, a lot of different breads are advertised for osteoporosis, and also the oxalate and phytates that block calcium absorption, it's all confusing.

Fallout from PET/CT Scan
My PET/CT scan on November 1 detected progression of metastatic prostate cancer while on Lupron. This made my cancer castrate resistant and I am on Abiraterone 1000 mg + Prednisone 5 mg. The PET/CT report also stated severe coronary artery calcification. Yesterday I had CT scan of the heart. The report

Need advice on these blood test results - wondering if it might be hypo, but Dr's all say numbers are fine.
I have just stumbled upon this site, and am hoping that you knowledgeable people can help me out.
The short story:
I'm undiagnosed, never been on any thyroid hormones. Feeling unwell for over 2 years - fatigue/tiredness, weight gain, hair loss (decreased hair density on scalp), loss of outer third

Calcium
I am on calcium channel blockers, does this block calcium getting to the heart only or the entire body? Is there any point in taking calcium supplements? Just wondering..
