hi all, Ive had 2 polyps removed from the womb but im still spotting brown goey blood 3 weeks post op... its mainly during the day... i also had a lap which diagnosed extensive endo but they didnt remove as it needs to be done via laproctomy. Does anyone know how long the spotting should be going on for after polyp removal??

polyps
depends on the size of the polyps and how deeply there were stuck to your womb or uterine wall. The bigger and deeper the more healing is needed and I hope the surgeon advised to abstain" for a couple of days until the brown bleed stops. Yes about your laparoscopy for the endo you will need to let this procedure heal first as removing endo is a shaving procedure and they would have avoided this so as not to catch the polyps which would have bled and made it difficult to see what they were doing.
Thank you Lindle, yes the gyno wrote to me and said that my endo was too extensive ie stuck to my bowel, one fallopian tube and one ovary that i need to have open surgery as it cant be done via a laproscopy.. I did think its a little extreme though as looking on this site there are alot of people who have it removed via laproscopy, so when I go back and see him I will ask for a referral to a specialist. I think he is a general gyno and not really aware enough. The polyps were in my womb, this was the second hysterscopy I had for them. The first time was with the same gyno a few months ago but it appears that he didnt remove them properly as they were too embedded, causing me to bleed non stop. This time they have apparently been removed 3 weeks ago but im spotting brown bits of blood. Im hoping its just surgical healing? Its more annoying than anything.
