APS just during pregnancy?
Hi, I'm looking for some advice please! I have two questions... Is it possible to have antiphospholipid antibodies purely during pregnancy? Would the fact that I wasn't prescribed any medication after my son was born indicate that I don't have APS, or are there people who have APS who don't have to take

Worried about Laparoscopy
Hi - I’m due to have a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy on Monday and I’m starting freak out a bit. I’m really worried about blood clots forming post surgery - I have intermittent positive antiphospholipid syndrome and have suffered acute coronary syndrome and a central retinal vein occlusion. I have not

Fragmin and Eyelea
Hello - I’m unsure if this is an appropriate question to ask here, but I’m due to have a laparoscopy on Monday and have an undiagnosed (proving impossible) blood clotting disorder that likely caused my CRVO. I’m 38. I will be injected with Fragmin and also take daily aspirin - I’m due to have my first

OHSS
I’ve just had my last scan before my trigger shot tonight and will definitely be doing a freeze-all. I honestly can’t believe how much pain I’m in! I was warned I was high risk of OHSS due to pcos but they never told me how ill I would feel... I now have to take cabergoline from tonight then fragmin

Random side effect?!
Hello 👋🏽 So, have been having a random side effect from something I am taking. I had it on my last frozen cycle in November which failed and I am now in my next 2ww, test on Monday 😬 The side effect/feeling is a warmth every now and again in my left bum cheek and down the leg it feels gradually warm

St.Thomas London
Can I ask if anyone goes to St.Thomas lupus clinic in London please? My lovely doctor was so helpful and supportive but doesn't think she'd be able to refer me cross border (I'm in Wales) because there's an APS specialist in Newport. This is the specialist who won't start Fragmin until after 7 week viability

Suspected dvt
Hi all I hope you are all doing well and staying safe. I’ve not wrote on here before but looking for a bit of advice and hopefully reassurance. I’m currently 16 + 4 weeks and today got admitted to hospital with a suspected dvt following a doctors appointment about a swollen calf. I’m so worried but know

Ape and leg problem!
Happy and a better new year to everyone. Wondering if anyone has had a problem like I had. I have APS and on warfarin. On news year’s day I woke up with a very painful knee which was really swollen red and very painful. By Monday my leg was swollen twice the size of my other leg. I called my GP and

MC Trigger warning...
. . . . . . On Friday I was told at my 8 week scan that the baby had stopped growing at 5 weeks and there was no heartbeat. I have to go back for a confirmation scan next Friday but this is my 5th loss now so I know already from experience there's no hope. I started myself on aspirin and Fragmin after

Post people might find upsetting
Hi ladies. I had the shock of having no heartbeat at our 20 weeks scan prior looked like a viable pregnancy- we also have a daughter Francesca after a long 7 year struggle. Thursday I birthed our beautiful daughter Amelia it was a beautiful experience to have that bond with my special angel baby. Anyone

Fragmin and warfarin pt 2
Thank you one and all for all your kind messages it means a lot to me, and have felt very much supported. I’m still in hosp, awaiting various test results, bloods ct scan etc I had a change of consultant who is so much better and certainly seems to understand things better. She wasn’t going to do

Fragmin and warfarin
I have calmed down enough to write this post, took me a couple of hours. I’m currently in hosp with nasty pneumonia not for the first time this year, my heart and lungs are knackered and are on their last legs certainly living on borrowed time now, docs are somewhat surprised I’m still here. I have

Levothyroxine intolerance
I have felt dreadfully ill ever since I started taking Levothyroxine when I became hypothyroid in October 18 following RAI treatment in June 18. I was suffering side-effects from the carbimazole and was told that it was easier to treat an under-active thyroid than an overactive one. The deterioration

Blood lining around the gestational sac
Hi everyone ☺ I have been going through IVF long protocol. l had the visibility scan yesterday at 6+4. Doctor could see everything plus a heart rate of 122. However, she told me the sac and embryo is in 5+4 (1 week younger than expected). There was a decent blood lining around the sac which she said

Corona- now home from hospital!
I write this to let you know that there can be a way out of Covid. I consider myself very lucky, and very well treated. It was a tough time to get through though. Several weeks of total exhaustion and tightness in chest (thought it was heart failure) I was finally admitted to hospital, after five days
