Thank you for letting me join. I found this form by googling EDOXABAN, as I couldnt find any info about it. I started taking this drug 2 days ago after switching from fragmin.
I have No heart problems at all but clots in my liver and brain ( due to Polycathemia Vera- blood cancer causing clotting).
My doctor said that this med is lighter on the liver as it is filtrated by the kidneys, therefore should be good for me. I am here to find out about your experiences with it. Thank you.

Sorry, I can’t help as I’m on Apixaban which along with Rivaroxaban seems to be the most popular DOAC. Hopefully people on Edoxaban will be along shortly. Most people seem to tolerate Apixaban and Edoxaban very well, as far as I can tell.

I have been on it for about 7-8 months and have had little obvious side effects. Maybe some dizziness and fatigue at the start but that could’ve been the arrhythmia. I take it just before bed at night a couple hours after food. I tend to also take my daily magnesium taurate supplement at the same time. I have had a few random injuries though (eg frozen shoulder) which I can’t help but think wouldn’t happen if I’d not been on it and things like ulcers and cuts (in my mind) do take longer to heal, so would prefer to be off it but very thankful I seem to tolerate it well and assume it is doing it’s job!
I've been on Lixiana/Edoxoban for 15 months now, the only anti co-ag I've had, no adverse effects at all. Will be going for a blood test next week. I feel the same as Rog65
I was diagnosed with polycythemia vera 12 months ago and 11 months ago I was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation. I was taking 81mg of aspirin initially when I was diagnosed with polycythemia vera; however, when atrial fibrillation entered my life, I was switched to Edoxaban to cover both conditions. I don't believe the Edoxaban causes any issues for me. A flecainide/bisoprolol combination keeps my atrial fibrillation quite well controlled; however, based on personal accounts I've read on this forum, I think it's probably bisoprolol that gives me some side effects (fatigue, heavy legs). All the best.
