Seeing GP Tomorrow- Medication Recommendations?!!
I know different medications work for different people, but I need some ideas to start somewhere! I was diagnosed with Fibro about 3 years ago (after having it for several years before that, but the symptoms were always put down to my Arthritis which I've had since the age of 8), the only medication

Not a good week
Having finally managed to make my way back onto the forum on Monday after too long away, I was full of the joys of spring tra-la! I then went for my long-awaited pain clinic appointment on Monday afternoon. Now I really regret it! Outcome of a one-hour consultation was - he will refer me to the multi-disciplinary

Stepping down mirtazipine this week and eating more than ever!
Has anyone come off mirtazipine and resumed a normal appetite??? Did you go on to other drugs? I'm going onto 2, one of which has no weight issues, the other is duloxetine which I have read can go either way, appetite wise.

Duloxetine side effects
I was prescribed duloxetine at the pain clinic yesterday, and took my first dose last night. This morning I have the shakes, and have been up since 4.30 being sick. I think it's from the meds. Do these side effects get better if I keep taking it? Is it a case of the body adjusting? What experience have

Changed AD
It was then decided between the 2 of them I would go back onto 60mg of
Fluoxetine
wbich was what I'd been taking with no nazty side effects before being put on the Venlafaxines. I had to call to see Dr later that day to pick up the new script.

When, and how do you decide to stop taking medication?
I've been on
Fluoxetine
20mg since Oct 2012, GP wanted to double it but i was on a long waiting list for therapy and i didnt want to double it until i had started, just incase things eased off in therapy, i didnt want to become dependant on a higher dose.

Any benefits in being prescribed anti-depressants with Levothyroxine to address symptoms - GRAVES disease?
Any input or your thoughts/opinion on this would be so appreciated and if you have had Graves - did you experience this and if so what worked for you? I have felt extremely lethargic and had hypo type symptoms for 16 months - totally unlike me - I am very active and on the go ( hyper diagnosis initially

Sertraline
I have tried lots of different meds since 2001 (Citalopram, Ecitalopram, Seroxat,
Fluoxetine
and clomapramine) non seem to have helped with the anxiety but have had minor beneficial effects on any linked depression.

Are you on medication? Which one,and for how long? How do you feel ?
I have been on
fluoxetine
(20mg,then 40mg and 80mg) for about 6 months and it did not help me at all..I was just feeling more depressed and suicide then ever. Then my GP put me on venlafaxine (37.5mg,then75mg,150mg and now I am on 225mg).I do feel different now,but I can't say that it is better.

what medication are you on? (only anxiety related)
I also know people on
fluoxetine
(prozac) but the side effects seem just as bad as Seroxat. I also don't particually like the idea of taking a drug everyday. I am dubious about taking meds, especially meds that seem to have loads of side effects.

Is it depression or something else?
The GP told me it was depression and put me on
Fluoxetine
which i took for a year or so. My symptoms ( lethargy, walking through treacle, feeling drugged) come and go and i have never had suicidal symptoms.
