I have been on Zymbslta, generic cymgen, for a few years, it has made a difference to my pain. It also aided with my mood. The important thing is it made a difference. Good luck, I hope it helps you. Chine.

Hi there, i had been on Fluoxetine for awhile due to reoccurring depression. When i was finally diagnosed with Fibro last Sept, my rheumatologist told my doctor to prescribe amitriptyline which i cant take as had a bad reaction to it a long time ago when prescribed for back pain. Have been on Cymbalta instead of Fluo. since last October and it has helped with the v severe pain i had in my legs and feet at night, my depression seems to be kept at bay but i have had some low times but i feel that is the way i am. I really hope it helps, it did take a few weeks to work so persevere if you can, Rachel X

I had the same effects from amitriptyline a long time ago. But I have another dr now and we tried it again at 10 mg and my pain is gone and am sleeping more at night. See my comment about coming off Cymbalta.

Hi there I too was on it 18months ago but on coming to NZ to live it is not available here so had to change to Sertraline, I found it to be very good, even on a low dose. I have fibro, RA and depression. Wishing you well.

I think like any medication it works for some but not for all. I have been on it for around 6 months and it's helped my pain and depression which Amitryptaline nor gabapentin did. Give it a go, you have nothing to loose. Duloxetine isn't licensed here for fibromyalgia but my rheumatologist was more than happy to try me on it.

Have you read the google reports of Cymbalta Discontinuation. I tried this 4 days ago as I have fm an have been on it 2 years. Well day 4 of coming down on this drug had made me crazy with all kinds of side effects and now have had to take it again to get out of this misery. Don't start.
