Stepping down mirtazipine this week and eating more than ever!

Has anyone come off mirtazipine and resumed a normal appetite??? Did you go on to other drugs? I'm going onto 2, one of which has no weight issues, the other is duloxetine which I have read can go either way, appetite wise.

think they all slow your metabolic system down I ve put on thee stone but that is me being ill with vertigo and getting down because of it, also the anxiety makes me drink too much

Hi jpars I'm on mirtazapine and every time I amend the dose my appetite goes crazy. I've been on it 5 months now and my weight is steady (I put one and a half stone on) But to be fair i lost a stone last year when i crashed and burned!. could you post your experience of withdrawing when you get chance so I know what to expect when I can come off it. I hope someone has an answer to your question love eve x

Aargh. Internet just dropped after previous composition.

I just changed from 30 to 15 so that's probably it. Like you eve I had lost a lot so didn't mind the overeating at first.

I will make a wee note to let you know end of next week what it's like. Taking last one Sunday night. xx

Thank you jpars very kind of you, I have heard they are easy to come off but I will wait to see what you think. I hope the next meds are kind to you love eve x
