Xeloda and Zoladex?
Hi everyone, hoping someone can help clear this up for me. Last week I shifted to Xeloda from Piqray. I asked my oncologist about whether I continue with monthly shots of Zoladex, which are administered by my GP, and she seemed a bit unsure, then said no. I left the hospital without much confidence and

CRS4PC and Zytiga side effects ?
My hubby is 69 and recently started Zytiga three weeks ago and it seems that he has developed moderate fatigue and low appetite since one week ago. I’m wondering if this could be a side effect of the Zytiga or if anyone thinks it’s an immunity infection attack.

Colonoscopy
Hello, I’ve been having various bowel issues for the past few months, ie. constipation, bloating, slight pain in lower back, bit of diarrhoea and my Dr would like me to go for a colonoscopy. As there’s no bleeding, I assumed it could be something else. Am I wrong to think this? Any advice welcome

Oxynorm
I'm too .... shattered... to give a nicely put story even a short n sweet would be too much right now. So in the meantime I would love to hear your thoughts on Oxynorm as pain relief for brutal endometriosis. It's helping reasonably well for me (though not fully I may add) Many thanks in advance

carbimazole and iron supplements
hi all, I have very low ferritin and need to supplement iron. Do I need to take my carbimazole away from iron or it doesn’t matter?

Hi all, Increased anxiety has become one of my worst symptoms of B12 deficiency and (possible*) PA. I’m on 4 weekly B12 injections (Hydrocobalamin 1mg) on the NHS but I’ve not noticed any improvements so far. I’ve had the 6 loading doses and 2 further injections so far. I’m taking D3/K2 (3000iu/100ug

Ovarian cyst mass
does anyone know the percentage of ovarian mass that turn out to be benign? No consultant surgeon oncologist seems to want to share this info. Has anyone any experience in using Thuja occidentalis (homeopathy) to shrink ovarian mass https://www.thieme-connect.com/products/ejournals/abstract/10.1055

Incomplete Evacuation and Diarrhoea
Hi there, 26yo female suffering with debilitating daily morning diarrhoea followed by incomplete evacuation, where it feels like my muscles just stop moving and there's an obstruction. I was diagnosed with IBS in 2020 when symptoms started, tried fodmap diet, mebeverine, linseeds, anitbiotics for suspected

Help Needed! Have I got Pernicious Anaemia?
I hope this isn't too long and/or too boring. I suspect I have PA but as with a lot of people here, no-one seems to take B12 deficiency seriously. I also have hypothyroidism so as my symptoms got increasingly worse over the past few years, I blamed my thyroid - the two conditions have many symptoms

SIBO and antibiotics
l am now feeling so out of my depth. Having been screened and cleared for obvious causes I have seen an NHS Consultant who says I am positive for SIBO. I have tried to work with low fodmap diet previously but without much success. My test with lactose was “equivocal” but a following one with glucose

Why would Active B12 blood test not be recognised by GP when I have lots of symptoms?
I had previously had a blood test for B12 which was apparently normal if a little low. I was told that no treatment was required.I continued to have most of the symptoms of a B12 deficiency so after 4 months and some research I paid for an Active B12 test which showed I was low. I took this to my doctor

Advice moving forward?
So I recently had blood tests that showed low b12, iron and vit D. Was prescribed tablets for the iron and vit D. And put on a course of B12 loading doses. 6 injections over 2 weeks. it's now been 2 weeks after the last b12 injection and none of my symptoms have improved. When I talked to the gp,

B12 deficiency v. Ferritin deficiency
Hi everyone. Some of you may have come across one of my posts this week and may have interacted, but if not, hi 😊 I’ve been going through a lot of the posts on here looking for answers to my query before I post this, but haven’t seen anything that covers it. Is there anybody here that has suffered

If the metastasis is not severe (ie widespread) why not surgery first?
Hi All, I was just wondering why surgery is not more a conventional method in stage 4 metastatic breast cancer? If one has a breast tumor, and only a few areas of metastasis - why isn't surgery to remove the breast tumor, and then radation/targetted treatment on the areas of metastasis? Any insight
