Hi ladies, I’m absolutely over the moon to hear that my oncologist has been able to get the Abraxane chemotherapy funding for me! I am due to start in January, I wonder if any of you ladies have had this chemotherapy in the past and if so what side effects you had, how you found it in general, did

Alverine and/or Simalvia - (which is alverine citrate with simethicone.) Side effects.
I have recently been put on these. I have found that both the standard alverine citrate, which I had tried first, now the Simalvia, cause feelings of extreme anxiety about an hour after taking the tablet! Weird and not listed in the side effects. So far it seems ineffective on the pain anyway. Would

Update 7.7.5 = Benign
Thanks to all who responded to my last post. The news on the growth removed from my face was good news. It was benign, a Seborrheic Keratosis that suddenly had become inflamed. Due to the coloration, it looked a possible malignant growth, which is why I had it checked out. I would encourage everyone

UPSET WITH MYSELF
I wanted to go to a Small Group at my church tonight, as time got near, I had a meltdown and didn’t make it out the door. I just don’t know what I am going to do about this agoraphobia! It’s so frustrating! I have been watching my church on-line for months now because I can’t seem to be able to face

continuing the journey
I just had my 3rd round of Chemotherapy ( O CHOP). Doing pretty well, will see 2nd week is usually the hardest. My oncologist was very pleased with how I have responded (ei. Platelets 357 from 1st chemo 10).I also had a port put in my chest last week for easier access for infusion iOS and blood work.

IBS meds not working....
Hello, I have been struggling with an IBS flare for 3 months, I'm taking Alverine and Peppermint capsules. My GP has checked for celiac disease which thankfully was normal, had my poo checked twice, bloods are fine except for inflammation markers slightly raised, checked my thyroid but it's fine as

COPD-NEW TO ME!
Hi all, I was diagnosed with CLL 5 years ago, and am now ready for treatment. Soon after I was told this I was diagnosed with 'Bells Palsy' After ten days of Steroid treatment, which did not help, I was sent for an MRI scan, which showed a small tumour in my neck, which I was told was on the move from

Sorry it has been a while with an update on Ruxolitinib
The last time I wrote to you all was about 2/3 years ago when I started Ruxolitinib. The first 6 to 8 months I was a different person, I felt great. I started to swim, (200 lengths in 1.5 hours) then I started to get water infections, one after the other, chest infections, ear infections and shingles

Quite the CLL journey
2012-2013 suspicion of CLL, enlarged lymph nodes in abdomen. Meet with oncologist, blood work does not reveal definitive diagnosis. Yearly appointments with blood work recommended 2016 enlarged lymph node removed from neck, biopsy confirmed CLL, watch and wait. 2018 escalating white blood count and

does it ever completely go away?
I had a medical procedure that was in itself very traumatic and also reactivated a childhood trauma. I have been in CBT for 2 1/2 years and recently started EMDR. I want this all to just go away! However, as in the case of the childhood trauma, which I thought had been dealt with, I fear I will always

Good news from the ATTLAS trial for patients with EGFR mutations and ALK translocations.
Treatment with atezolizumab, bevacizumab, paclitaxel, and carboplatin (ABCP) was significantly more effective than pemetrexed plus carboplatin or cisplatin https://dailynews.ascopubs.org/do/atezolizumab-bevacizumab-and-chemotherapy-improves-pfs-egfr---alk--mutated-nsclc-after?cid=DM15256&bid=315813216

Stronger sense of taste on Urso
Has anyone here noticed a stronger sense of taste whilst taking Urso? Specifically sweet and salty tastes seem much stronger since I have been taking them.

Functional B12 problem, advice wanted
Hi Over the last 20 odd years I got very sick with lots of the typical PA symptoms. I was virtually housebound and incapable of any physical activity, with lots of neurological problems, muscle wasting, anemia etc. These were so pronounced that I received a preliminary (incorrect) diagnosis of motor

How prostate cancer transforms into aggressive NEPC following treatment with anti-androgen therapy.
This could be a game changer as it could stop PCa from progressing. Science is going to save us. The development of effective anti-androgen therapies for prostate cancer is a major scientific advance. However, some men who receive these targeted treatments are more likely to develop a deadly treatment-resistant
