Colonoscopy with AF and ICD?
I've had several colonoscopies with AF and sedation, with no problems at all. But now - I have an ICD. Is an EP by protocol required to be present to switch it on and off before and after? If so, that must mess up their schedules badly.

W3R1- The Hardest Part
I’ve been a little quiet lately but the good news is I haven’t stopped running, I just didn’t have the mental energy to write about the last ones, especially after my last epic saga of the mundane was lost to the depths of my iPhone last week. So anyway I ran on Saturday after a chain of unexceptional

Good afternoon all, I like to think myself as an early morning runner, getting my exercise in before I start work. However, I really struggled to drop off to sleep last night, no particular reason, just one of those nights when I couldnt stop my brain from thinking! Alarm went off at 5:45am as normal

My grandson who is 26yrs old is a HGV / Articulated lorry driver. On Friday night he stopped at a service station in Stafford, a car was parked behind him. The man walked away from his car and called a man who had walked out just before Dan over, and saw him punch him in the stomach so he thought I

Tyramine, MAO A and MAO B has any one tried a tyramine reduced diet?
I was reading up on MAO inhibitors as the question was asked which is best, an MAO inhibitor or C/L. My husband has had a genetic test and his results say he has lower expression of MAO A and B so I imagine inhibiting it further is probably not a good thing. But reading this it looks like reducing

Constipation solution
CONSTIPATION solution Recipe Mix together: 1. One cup apple sauce 2. One cup unprocessed wheat bran 3. 3/4 cup prune juice Increases dietary fiber intake and promotes regular bowel function. You might have a bloated feeling and more gas when adding fiber to your diet, which will pass in a few weeks.

Anyone got a extra large roll of bubble wrap?
So last night I lost feeling in both feet. I fell crashing into the wash hand basin. I hit my shoulder on the metal shelf and caught my leg on the damned floor to ceiling pole again. So yet again I am battered and bruised. I could not feel either foot and lurched about like I was drunk. I had no auras

Hello all, Some feedback from my mates on the forum would be appreciated. Since January have lost 2.5 stones (BMI now 30), still dieting. Given up alcohol. Feeling better than I have in years. Went out for a meal last night for my first meal since lockdown having met two old friends. Had a tebone steak

Finally had my ablation yesterday
Had my cryoablation yesterday and all went well. I went into af very quickly into the procedure which meant it only lasted for around 1 hr 15 mins. I have to admit that It wasn't the most pleasant of experiences but not bad enough to put me off going through again if I needed to. The worst part for me

Hypo with POF, severe hair loss and scalp pain
I’ve had severe hair loss since being diagnosed with Hypo since 2016. I’ve tried various doses and thyroid medicines which include Synthyroid, Nature-throid, Cytomel, and Tirosint. I introduced the last three medicines in mid-2018. Once I started Nature-throid my eyelashes started coming out. I’ve

Pain in heel
I have found that doing longer runs causes a twinge in my right heel. It's not constant or painful but it makes me nervous to run longer distances in case I get injured (I get quite anxious about this). I'm up to week 7 and a bit scared to keep on going. I think my trainers probably aren't helping as

Olaparib question - temperature and feeling rubbish.
Hello ladies. Hope you're all having a good weekend. Looking for a bit of advice. I've been on Olaparib now for five months. For the last two weeks I've felt exhausted, tired and 'not quite right' which I put down to side effects of the tablets. About five days ago I woke in the night shivering and

Elevated hypo symptoms. HRT and or Flaxseed.
Hi all, me again. I have a dilemma, My recent issues regarding extreme hypo symptoms which were resolved by stopping HRT. I also stopped taking a very high dose of flaxseed too at the same time and am now thinking which one was the culprit or was it both. I had been on HRT for seven months with no

Three year old will only poo in pants
old is potty trained for the last 6 months, however she has never done her poo in the toilet, she will only do it in her pants. Its not a fear of the toilet, I am thinking now she is constipated, her poos would usually be type 5 small bits of soft poo at a time, she could have only one or two of these

First time using sodium picosulfate? We use senna too for 10 year old with hypermobility with constant uncontrolled soiling likely impacted
Hi I will write a longer post about my daughters problems ,,, But I have a quick question to start with ..... is Dulcolax (sodium picosulfate) a stool softener (in that it adds liquid to the poo to make it softer ?) I was lead to believe it was ... but on reading up it seems to be classed as a stimulant

Fragile X Syndrome. In shock
And to top it all.......my twin sister has now also been tested as infertile and the consultants are concerned that there may be a genetic problem called Fragile X Syndrome. We are being genetically screened and if we are carriers it’s just game over for us. I really could just cry.
