Clopidogrel
Has anyone else been prescribed Clopidogrel for more than a year after having stents fitted? Everything I've seen suggests it is prescribed for a year, but I'm still on it nearly 3 years later. Even the doctor who gave me blood test results said he couldn't see any purpose in this but said I should

Carbimazole - Graves
Ok hang in there with me on this .... A few weeks ago I posted that I was struggling on 5mg - everything pointed to too higher dose, fair enough so gradually lowered to 2.5mg - I lost my beautiful and beloved Labrador after a cancer battle in early March 💔and attributed a lot of my depression to this

Yet another question about cirrhosis.
I'm so sorry to bother everyone again. I promise this will be my last post for quite some time [hopefully]. I'm taking some advice from a couple of lovely members from this forum who have advised me to try and not worry so much over every detail of my condition, and live each day to its fullest. Just

Low adjusted calcium level
Is there any link between thyroid issues and a low adjusted calcium level? Vitamin D is higher in the range around 100 (I take 3,000IU per day) plus was on a multivitamin as well. It has never been a problem previously but two blood tests in the last year (since starting levothyroxine) have shown a low

Low platelets advice
Hi all, Mum has just had her 4th cycle of chemo but her platelets have been at their lowest so far and a little concerned. Chemo was delayed by almost a week as initial blood tests showed platelets at 48. They got back up to 112 so was safe to have the chemo, but I’m wondering if they will continue

Should I keep pushing to be tested? Or are the doctors right?
Hi there, I am really struggling. I have always felt like something was not right about my menstrual cycle. I’m now 22, and have been bleeding consistently and sometimes heavily since December 2023. This is the worst it has ever been, and I finally decided to seek treatment for something I have ignored

Blue Horizon Test Discount?
Hi to all, Does Blue Horizon still have a 30% discount with a certain code for blood tests? I've been entering one that I used previously but it doesn't seem to work. Or is it just on Thursdays? Many thanks in advance.

weight gain
Has anyone gained weight whilst being on Bisoprolol? I’ve gained two stone in two years; and am now borderline diabetic with a score of 42 in my recent blood tests (hbc?) I also take Adalimubab injections for my Arthritis. There are days when I am extremely lethargic but need to lose weight prior

Rising PSA
I turned 87 just 3 days' ago. My QOL is still good: no pain, and a lot of physical activity. Fatigue is mostly annoying, but I generally can work through it. The issue is my concern with a slowly rising PSA. Today's blood test showed a PSA of 1.5. How concerned should I be, and are there steps to
