Shell shocked
Just had an angiogram, been listed for stents. Additional medications amlodipine and clopidogrel. I have had GTN spray since December. Feels like I'm waiting for a heart attack. Looks like I will not get stents for another 6 weeks. I'm a bit scared, not seen consultant just his assistant and a letter

Ramipril for high BP
I recently went to hospital following a funny turn and spike in my blood pressure. I’ve been told my blood pressure was high before but stupidly didn’t do anything about it. The hospital thought I may have had a stroke, I’ve been sent for blood tests, had a heart monitor and waiting for a heart scan.

Amlodipine and swollen legs
I have unstable angina and have been on 5mg Amlodipine for a year. Following a severe angina attack the cardiac doc at hospital upped the dose to the max at 10mg. Since then I find my legs are very swollen by bed time but fine again in the morning. I've been to the doc and he is investigating but

Burning head/scalp
Hey everyone! I’m new here but hoping to find someone who can relate to what I’ve been going through. I never suffered from health anxiety until december of last year, and it started with heart palpitations that landed me in the hospital. Once I found out that I was ok, the anxiety went away. Fast forward

5mg Bisoprolol
Hello again I am on 5mg Bisoprolol and also Amlodipine. Before the AF kicked off the Amlodipine was doing a good job at controlling my BP and my resting pulse was as it always had been, 65-75, occasionally into the 80's. Since AF started 1 month ago today (there's an anniversary I don't like), I've

up date on Potassium effects!!
I have written on here before about the fact that when I have been to A and E , when first diagnosed with AF, my potassium levels were below range. After upping potassium in my diet (food, not supplements,) I have had intervals between AF episodes varying from one year to three years. My BP recently

Me Hi, I have anxiety, I'm on Citalopram. My anxiety fluctuates. I get anxious if I have to go to Doctors, or any Other Important Visit. I received a letter today, from my surgery to book an appointment with Nurse to take my Blood Pressure. This sent me into a spin, because the last time I went to

Post ablation and finally off amiodarone
I had my ablation last September and all was good although it took a long time. My EP took me off amiodarone in December saying he hoped I would stay in NSR. My pulse is still regular but I have started getting very fast fluttery moments which only last a few minutes and often happen when I wake

Hi all. I will explain what I have been told so far, it's not a lot, and see if anyone can give some hints and tips! I am 38 and suffered a heart attack when I was 33. It was very out of the blue as I am very fit and had no health issues prior. The left side of my heart is damaged and I have been on

Peripheral arterial disease (PAD)?
Hi All On finding I had low bp in my left arm ( 80/60) the practice nurse took a reading on my right arm which was 130/72. The difference was not picked up in 3 days on a cardiac ward where my bp was usually taken in the same arm. She said a discrepancy is not unusual per se but questioned why I am
