my blood pressure was a bit high and gp started me on ramipril ,after a couple of weeks I started getting pain on my left side just beneath my ribs, and I was feeling bloated , I didn't realize at first that it was the ramipril .but as I never had any pain like it before ..I googled the side effects and sure enough bloating and pain was among the side effects. also that ramipril can cause pancreatitis. I stopped taking them and made an appointment to see my gp, I also kept a check on my bp with a monitor and my bp readings were good....118/75 It took about 4 days before the bloating and pain stopped . gp told me not to take anymore.....my bp was fine so he didn't give me any other meds. it's been 2 weeks since I stopped the ramipril and sometimes I still feel a bit of a discomfort , but not as much as before. you don't know how long it takes for these pills to get out of your system...just have to wait and see

I've had no problems with Ramipril up to 7 5mg. My blood pressure came from 160/95 to 120/75.
