Day 5 out of hospital from a d bypass & mitral valve replacement, why am I so dizzy whilst walking a few steps/heart pounding/feeling clammy
Hi, I’m new here. Day 5 from discharge from a double by pass and mitral valve replacement, is it normal to feel very dizzy whilst walking a few steps then feeling clammy and heart racing? None of my pre op meds have been changed apart from reducing the Ramipril. I appreciate it’s early days but apart

Ramipril.....lung and heart
Hello to all I have severe COPD and AFIB . Was in hospital in January with double Pnuemonia. Was treated with IV antibiotics and steroids. After a couple of weeks I felt better and then kept dipping and feeling worse. All the tests I had in hospital and recently have not once picked up any infection

Side effects of amlodipine
I’m on 5mg ramipril and 5mg amlodipine. I am pretty sure that the amlodipine is making me thirsty, fatigued, tired eyes and achy muscles and joints. I used to be on just ramipril but it wasn’t controlling my blood pressure enough so I was given amlodipine as well. I’ve taken it before and I’m sure it

Amlodopine
Does anyone have any problems with Amlodipine. I was prescribed Amlodipine as a trial to treat my angina, and immediately had chest pain. I stopped taking it and pain went. I now break the tablet in half, and take half a tablet a day. No pain. Now. My consultant has now left his job, and I haven’t been

Liver and Kidney Ultra-sound Results
I have a call with my doctor later today to discuss my results. I was sent for an ultra sound scan back in September 2020, and I had this done on 11th February 2021 some 5 months later. I think the delay must have been due to covid! My recent bloods have shown : ......................................

Cycle No More – or maybe?
I had my latest angiogram on Friday 5 mar, the result of which was that no additional stents were fitted and that no physical improvement actions were implemented. Although I was aware of the possibility that no improvements would be possible during this process I really was not mentally prepared for

Not the best news
Anyone else on here with heart failure , caused by left ventricular impairment ? Wonder what treatment you are on. I got a call Monday from the cardiac nurse to tell me my ejection factor which was around 40% last year, is now 25--30% from a scan last week. The damage I believe was caused Chemo back

Teva ingredients in Ramipril 5mg for hypertension, anyone?
Does anyone take medication for hypertension? I was recently given Teva brand Ramipril and after a few days the symptoms I get when I used to have Teva levo, reared their ugly heads. I have tried to find the ingredients of the Teva Ramipril to see if it contains fillers the same as in the levothyroxine

Devastated...congenital heart failure...So afraid
Went for yearly blood test today to GP surgery and the nurse left the room and I took a peak at computer screen with my health details on it. Literally, as I read what was on the screen I was shocked...went weak at the knees and had to sit down after reading the words, Congenital Heart Failure!!!! Apart

Takeaways, snacks and alcohol if you have heart failure, can you still have treats and enjoy yourself?
Hi guys not sure if this sounds absolutely daft and I hope it’s appropriate to post here, I have been diagnosed with left ventricular systolic dysfunction with an ejection fraction of 40-50% as of January after having an echo and I’m currently on Ivabradine and ramipril. I’ve always been fit, strong
