ICU stay
I was admitted to hospital at the end of April after months of nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and fatigue. I remember the ambulance but not entering the hospital. I was placed in an induced coma and ventilated for five days due to extensive brain swelling, respiratory distress, suspected abdominal sepsis

Bizarre fibro scan reading
So after decades of alcohol abuse I had a CT scan of my liver 2 years ago. The report said " The parenchyma demonstrates increased echogenicity and coarse echotexture. Appearances are suggestive of early cirrhotic changes.." and also received a text message from the doctor saying "your liver scan confirms

Fibroscan though was at 24,7 (with no

PBC diagnosis? AMA 125,1
US showed a homogeneous
liver
, Fibroscan 24,7, diagnosed cirrhosis, no
fatty
liver
or alcohol. MRI suspects cirrhosis (suggesting biopsy), majority of the biliary ducts are normal with mild biliary ductal dilation in the left lobe. Blood test from 2 weeks ago showed ALT 208 and AST 247.

Regression of Varices
Hi all, Following up on my mom's condition, she was diagnosed with PBC resulting in Cirrhosis two years ago. She was diagnosed quite late when there was already synthetic dysfunction and peripheral edema. Before treatment started she underwent endoscopy which revealed stage 1 esophageal varices. She

Cirrhosis Stage 4- My journey
From 2015 on my new Primary care doctor would order all the liver tests(ALP, AST, ALT), a couple
liver
ultrasounds. The US always indicated "
fatty
liver
" I would be told to eat healthy and exercise over and over which is what I have always done.

Adrenal gland mass and a whole lot of other stuff (falling to bits)
I also have diabetes type 2, coronary artery disease (stent & angioplasty) and I have non alcoholic
fatty
liver
disease. Then I have fibromyalgia too. I feel awful all the time, tired, sore and I am worried sick about it all. GP just makes referrals she can’t answer any questions.

but no further problems, my father was found to have an increased liver years ago but both had no further issues.

Introduction, amidst uncertainty
However I’ve had various lingering pains and symptoms since, and while all normal on a second round of
liver
blood tests, an ultrasound showed mild
fatty
liver
(though this wasn’t exactly defined) and slightly enlarged. Everything else appeared normal.

Hi everyone one, my ALT and AST are both 100
I’m scared seeing my best friend passed in my Arms in 2019 because of chronic hepatitis which later became liver cancer, and I’m today diagnosed with the same condition chronic liver disease with both ALT and AST at 100 it’s very unfortunate for such a young man like me who had never drinks in my whole

Sjogrens etc
I would be very grateful for advice...it's probably something I should know already. I have Sjogrens, probably Lupus (or some sort of overlap) and Hashimoto's. I feel pretty rubbish quite a lot of the time...but know that I need to really think about what I can do to look after myself to try to avert

concerned about stomach and diarrhoea
I have cirrhosis of liver not through alcohol, and now secondary bone cancer. Haven’t had to use lactulose because of getting diarrhoea. So.ndering whether it’s the food I eat? The blander the better I feel, or is my liver getting worse. So fed up with it all. And haven’t even started the cancer treatment
