Fatty liver

The radiologist said my liver looked bright red, he then said I have fatty liver but that is nothing to worry about and very common but that didn't reassure me, after all cancer is very common. He asked if I took a lot of pills to which I replied yes.

I'm male 65 years old and due to go to Addenbrooke's for Liver Transplant assessment at the beginning of January.I would like to chat with people who have been through this process. Needless to say I'm a bit worried about the whole thing. Can anyone help ?

I have a fatty liver caused by drinking too much which I'm on the mend from. However I also have extremely high cholesterol, which doctor wants to prescribe statins for, but I'm concerned about my liver and making that worse.

hi all, i had ultra sound and Doc said it was fatty liver. I told him i was currently being treated for bladder cancer and he said I needed to go back to GP . GP has now done more bloods and i suspect she is testing for liver cancer. Initially I had an ALT of 37 and it increased to 52.

after 9years of trips to hospital and venesection s I’ve been told today that I do not have Cirrhosis or fatty liver disease. Hurrah. Don’t know who will understand this news.

Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD or NASH) and fibroscan results. Has anyone come across scale that diagnosed F4 (cirrhosis) based on fibroscan result below 11 kPa?

A chance fibroscan has shown I have fatty liver. My cap score was 362 but my kpa was only 2.5. I'm 46 and I'm not overweight, my bmi is in normal range. My diet isn't always the healthiest although I do eat a lot of homecooked food with veggies.

Hi all, I got diagnosed with non alcohol fatty liver disease on Monday. My doctor thinks if I drop down by 2 stone from 19 to 17 stone this may reverse it. I know what to eat avoiding sugar, achohol and restricting my carbs to under 30g a day. Have you had yours reversed?
