Cirrhosis again
Hi everyone, I’m just a bit worried about my liver. I had a transplant 4 years ago and all was well until recently. I have ascites again. Spironolactone isn’t working for me. Does my replacement liver now have cirrhosis like my own did? How has that happened? Any ideas anyone? Naturally my GP and the

Liver Pain...after Dry
Previously diagnosed with
fatty
liver
. Felt very healthy, good low blood pressure and sleeping well. In early Feb, resumed moderate drinking. Went away last week and drank approx 7 units each day, 2 pints of beer, 2 to 3 glasses of wine, for 4 nights. I now have a chronic pain in the liver.

Latest Consensus on Omega-3, Aspirin & Curcumin?
So in finishing up my deep dive into supplements, these were the three I had the most trouble making any definitive personal conclusions about so I wanted to do a review before putting them to bed to get any last input. My general feeling is without well-designed long-term studies (not retrospective

MRE vs Fibroscan
They did the fibroscan because 6 months ago I had an ultrasound that showed a slightly enlarged spleen and some
fatty
infiltration in the
liver
. They are sending me for an MRI with elastography on Friday to confirm the staging. Does anyone have any experience with this test?

Scar Tissue & Pain
Hi, my emergency liver resection and tumour removal was in sept 2020. I’ve got a large yet beautiful scar across my abdomen. After 18months, I still get a lot of scar pain and can feel the scar tissue. I’ve had scar tissue massage a few times from a trained person and try to do a bit myself at home

Swapping Baricitinib for Tocilizumab
Hi All. Been having a bad time with flare and fatigue following Covid and although on Baricitinib 4 mgs and Pred 10 mgs daily I’ve not been good. I started a flare back in December and it seemed that in Feb after Covid the Baricitinib is much less effective, if it’s working at all. The rheumatologists

Could I have cirrhosis?
I am 28 years old. I have spider angiomas on my chest and palmar erythema on my hand. I used antipsychotic and antidepressant drugs for a long time. I have sometimes taken flu meds and roaccutane along with these meds. My doctor said it's nothing to worry about. But high direct bilirubin worries me.

Fluid around liver post transplant
Hi, I'm 2 years post liver transplant, and I'm currently in hospital for a kidney infection. Thankfully they seem to have got this under control, even though my kidneys are only working around 43%. The worry is that a CT scan has shown up some fluid around my liver. Pre transplant I never suffered with

Spider nevi central spot?
Hi, As per previous posts I'm anxious about my liver, with good cause as a previous heavy drinker (50 units a week , much reduced last few years). A couple of years ago I had a liver MRI -fine. So my question - I've noticed some red veins at bottom of nose. Are these always spider nevi? I can't see

Rising Bilirubin
Good morning. I have stage 4 prostate cancer and since March, have been taking a drug called Zytiga (Abiraterone) which has been known to affect the liver. A recent blood test shows my Bilirubin to be 24umol/L when the normal range should be 0-20. A month ago, it was 19umol/L. I am therefore concerned
