Spider Nevis, does anyone else have these?
Short story, hospitalised over a year ago with jaundice and ascites due to alcoholism, considered de compensated cirrhosis, original fibro scan read 22.2kpa, now it’s 9 and I’m considered to have fibrosis and not cirrhosis although my liver is obviously scarred and my doctor is quite honest when he said

CoQ10
I started 600mg of CoQ10 in November - I know eggs are created 3 months before they are released so it's unlikely that my January IVF cycle seen any benefit of the supplement. I take 2 x 300mg with my dinner. I'm wondering should I be splitting the dose and having 300mg in the morning and 300mg in

I was just diagnosed F3 with NAFLD but all blood tests normal what now?
US showed
fatty
liver
and possible beginning cirrhosis. Elastography revealed F3, they did not give CAP score. My doctor says that being obese could make the elastography inaccurate. My fibrosis test showed F0. What do I believe and what follow up do I need?

Mr Alan M
I have been missed diagnosed with liver disease for years I believe that I am still around because I do not drink and I am quite strict with my diet etc. I have also taken a lot of over the counter medication for liver disease. I believe that the disease has been caused by DILI / prescribed medication

Autoimmune question
However, I do have
fatty
liver
. After consulting several “specialists” to help with the problems I’ve been having these last few years, my primary care is the first to actually take me seriously and ordered some blood tests to check a few things out.

Finally got a diagnosis in writing
Liver stiffness of 8.8 kpa Cap of 329...This demonstrates F2 fibrosis and
fatty
liver
disease. Mr R is aware of the lifestyle modifications...to address the quantity of fat situated in his liver. All true I am now aware.

Fatty liver
Hi I was diagnosed a year ago with
fatty
liver
. Which surprised me as my diet is good. Walk lots not overweight. Weight is ok. Don't drink hardly only on odd occassion. Then if do it's just few glasses wine. Not lots. Saw hepatologist who diagnosed this after liver scan & biopsy.

Father has had PBC for 16 years - Odd complications since COVID?
Hello all, I wonder if anyone here who has PBC (or has a family member with PBC) has had similar experiences post covid? My father was diagnosed 16 years ago. Recently he contracted COVID and was hospitalised (he's also been a type 1 diabetic since birth, so 60 years). Within a day of getting COVID

Do I just learn to live with thinning hair?
I was diagnosed with Hashimotos in 1997 & was on thyroxine for 17 years. Then on T3-only for about 4 years, after testing positive for the D102 variant from both parents. I have been on NDT for a few years now-THIROID at first until its supply issues.I got on very well with TR MANN & was very disappointed

Thoughts?
Hello, Decided to ring the liver trust nurses today . I spoke to a lovely lady who went through stuff with me but as she said didn’t know my medical details but encouraged or questioned should I be asking my consultant about my prognosis. Am I alone with now being scared to death that if I should ask

Extreme fatigue. Any solution?
This is wiping me out. Honestly. It tends to start at about 5 pm and lasts for about 2/3 hours. I used to take Whey protein to counter it but this appears to not hit the spot. I’m utterly exhausted when this phenomenon strikes and am wondering if anyone has any ideas? I take B1 daily (Superior Source

Supplements to help liver
I had a blood test that showed raised ALT and then stopped drinking for 3 months and the repeat test had gone down to normal levels. I have heard that various things can help the liver, milk thistle, artichoke, dandelion etc. Is there any merit in any of these. I do not drink a lot but the occasional
