Specialist appointment
Hi I was diagnosed with compensated cirrhosis in August last year and ended up in ICU for due to contracting sepsis while being admitted to hospital and as such had intensive care for sepsis and lmy liver. I have had 2 visits to the specialist luver nurse and was reassessed to compensated irrhodis

My GP rang to review my blood tests. All were normal apart from an elevated GGT. It has been elevated for a long time which is why I was referred for a Fibroscan and this scan showed Cirrhosis (17kpa). As I have mentioned previously this was alarming news as I had never drank and had a lower BMi.

Possible relapse, trouble seeing Rheumatologist.
It found no problem with kidneys but did find I have a
fatty
liver
. I am awaiting an appt for a cystoscopy to rule that side of things out. Also awaiting a nephrology appt. Meanwhile diagnosed as type 2 diabetic and about to start a total meal replacement scheme in February.
