Hi I was diagnosed a year ago with fatty liver. Which surprised me as my diet is good. Walk lots not overweight. Weight is ok. Don't drink hardly only on odd occassion. Then if do it's just few glasses wine. Not lots. Saw hepatologist who diagnosed this after liver scan & biopsy. Wierd thing is my sister few years older than me been told this too. I also have crohns which have treatment for. My last bloods on that say my liver levels bit elevated but should continue treatment for crohns. Also have a benign small tumor in liver. That was found out blue on scan. Also recently been told I have a bicuspid valve where heart has two valves instead of 3 with some aortic stenosis. That was picked up by my crohns Dr by thinking I had heart murmur who sent me for EEG for heart. Lately I have pain round my rib area. Plus feel fatigued lately bones hurt too. Don't see hepatologist after got diagnosed with crohns. Any input be great thanks. X

Fatty liver
Did they rule out the Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis which had earlier been mentioned? Whilst you can (as my hubbies consultant said to us) have fatty liver disease even when you are built like a 'racing snake' they should rule out PSC especially in light of you also having colitis - PSC and Colitis are often found together.

Look on the British liver trust website for information and advice about fatty liver disease, lucky it's been diagnosed at hopefully an early stage and is reversable. I've seen a lot of people with crohns diagnosed with fatty liver.
Hi, if the pain is new it would be worth getting it checked with a GP. It’s easy to put things down to an existing condition and just put up with it, but it might be something different that they can treat. Don’t be in pain unnecessarily.
