MRI results over the past 2 years show I have a significant fatty liver
I drank moderately, but stopped in January, started milk thistle, dandelion Hepagard supplements
Waiting to see if there has been a positive change in March

Hi and welcome to the forum.
The best treatment for a fatty liver is healthy diet and exercise. Some supplements and so called alternative and complementary therapies are actually potentially more hazardous to the liver. Everything you ingest has to be processed by your liver and the last thing you want to do is further stress your liver.
The British Liver Trust has guidance about Complementary and Alternative Therapies at:-

They also have great information about MASLD/Non Alcohol Related Fatty Liver Disease and a downloadable leafley all about how best to treat the condition with diet and exercise.

Hi and welcome! Do you mean January 24 or 25? Either way, great work on stopping the alcohol. Even moderate amounts can hurt a liver that is already fatty. As Katy said the best treatment is diet and exercise. Mediterranean diet is usually recommended and the British Liver Trust has more info on that. Stay away from added sugars, refined flour and saturated fats. There are much healthier and more delicious alternatives. Eat lots of fresh vegetables and fruits. Fish is great. Olive Oil is very helpful as is coffee! If you have extra weight, lose it but in a steady manner ... Crash dieting is not good for fatty liver. If you are able, get some moderate exercise every day. A 30 minute walk each day at a brisk pace is good. I'm new to this too and this is a great place to learn from others experience and feel supported.
