nash fatty liver

My liver function blood tests have always been in normal range, last one was in July.

I have had lots of shoulder, abdominal and rib pain for a long time, but it is becoming more severe in the last month and my palms and soles of my feet can get very itchy.

Anyway, I have just had the following abdominal Ultrasound result, and wondered what will happen next (I have a GP appointment next week to discuss the results), and what questions i need to ask.?

The liver has an echogenic parenchyma in keeping with fatty

infiltration, no obvious focal lesions or biliary dilatation, CBD = 4mm.

If your GP thinks you have a bit too much fat on your liver, ask for a Fibroscan. That will tell you how much fat and whether any scarring. It will help you to track progress in reversing it which is mainly done through weight loss, healthy liver diet and exercise.
