your help needed in research about chest x-ray experiences
For those in the UK who've had a chest x-ray referred via their GP, please would you consider completing a research survey, seeking opinions from those affected ? (patients or relatives/caregivers) Whether it turned out to nothing more than a virus, infection or was followed up with other investigations

Hi, I'm sure it's been answered before, but can't seem to locate...is it OK to test for I.Factor after loading doses please? If not why?
Hi, I've had one Intrinsic factor test before which came in under range. I know its a test that can take a few times to show up.pisitive & kick myself for not trying it again before this loading dose. Was concerned at asking for tests for other things & forgot about this...appreciate any thoughts & would

B12 injections stopped by gp after 5 years treatment on nhs
I was diagnosed with chronic b12 deficiency years ago - my GP started giving me injections every 3 months and my nurse told me that it was for life. I’ve always eaten meat my whole life - so my deficiency was not caused by diet. They have stated that my deficiency is due to malabsorption, but my intrinsic

B12 and Ferritin
I said I would post after my haematology consultation. I had a ferritin infusion in February after suspecting that I was ferritin/iron deficient as a result of research into ranges etc. I discovered that 30 can be regarded as ferritin deficient, a lot more than the bottom of the range 11 regarded as

Intrinsic Factor blood test
How long does it take for NHS to run this test? I had the test done last Tuesday, but the results are still not showing on my records.

symptoms flare-up
I have been battling an iron deficiency since November, that seems to be a result of my correcting b12 deficiency with shots. I have not been taking the full recommended dose of iron until about a week ago. My ferritin is 25, which is up from 14, but still deficient. The last 3 weeks or so I have notice

Iron and ferritin advice requested
I have recently had a full set of iron and ferritin blood tests completed and would like some advice on the numbers, please (prior to these tests, only my ferritin levels have been tested). They result from early morning fasting with no iron supplements for one week. My serum ferritin was 160 µg/L.

Ferritin
I know that Ferritin is stored iron but I’m a bit confused about how Ferritin and iron correlate. Is it possible to have Ferritin in range but low iron - and what would be considered optimal Ferritin? My level has just been tested and has gone down from a stable 88 to 34 I’m sorry to be so dumb

Restless legs and iron anaemia
Pronounced iron anaemia, but no possibility of iron infusion in Denmark. So I'm now taking iron tablets, but I'm not sure how much iron I should take? My doctor knows less about restless legs, about augmentation and how much iron in iron anaemia than I do!Will it be enough to take Amino Iron Ferrocel

I have PA, all was going well, but now they're trying to mess with my b12 perscipton!!!
Hi all,I'm a long time lurker, but haven't posted myself in a while. About 8 years ago, I was fighting to save my right leg due to bone tumors. 12 surgeries later, I lost that fight. During that time, I started losing weight, tons of anxiety, palpitations ect...This would all be normal reaction to this

GP visit!
So I went to see my GP yesterday and discussed my symptoms, and asked about B12 injections. Got the same old story - test within range, symptoms aren’t bad enough, try oral B12 for three months, despite my explaining that I have low stomach acid and problems with malabsorption, which she again dismissed

Seeking reassurance on fatigue and recovery
Hi everyone, I've been managing a rollercoaster of symptoms lately and wanted to see if anyone has experienced something similar.
Onset
: Since December 2022, I had recurring, short episodes of fatigue. About once every month, I would feel it coming on (almost like a cold, but with no sinus/respiratory

Cough, chest pressure, GCA
I am being treated for GCA, but had a negative biopsy. I am now taking 40 mg of prednisone and will drop to 35 mg tomorrow. My first rheumatology appointment is May 16. I am in no pain but I am very fatigued and I continue to cough, especially when I speak, and have chest heaviness. My primary care
