Could I have endometriosis?
Hello, I am really struggling with symptoms at the moment and I still have no answers so would love some input from others who know what this is like. I have always had heavy painful periods since day 1, along with bowel and stomach issues. I remember being at school and being sent home because I was

Second opinion Dr implies no Endo!
Hi Everyone! So I work abroad on and off and in the UK, I was ‘kinda’ diagnosed with endometriosis, based on a teeny tiny left side ovary cyst they found and the fact that my womb or something was stuck to the back wall of something (uterus?) 🙈🙈 so in the country where I am working, I finally managed

update on statins, Leflunomide & biphosphates
this is a good news story of me ready to charge at doors which gently and easily opened! Over the last 3 weeks I have spoken to and seen three medics who I expected to push me into drugs I didn’t want. Medic 1 - my GP who discussed statins, agreed my cholesterol was borderline and that statins were

SIBO!!! But fearing taking antibiotics, especially Neomicyn… I’ve heard of terrible side effects ( tinnitus and hearing loss).
Hello, here is my doctor's report: ''The report of your hydrogen and methane breath test is positive, both for small intestinal bacterial overgrowth as well as excessive methane-producing bacteria in the large bowel. It may be sensible to consider treatment with non-absorbable antibiotics. If you would

Multiple conditions leading to burnout
Hi everyone, Any constructive advice welcome. To give context, I have PCOS, endo, degenerative discs, lymphocytic colitis and my gynae now thinks I have adenomyosis too. I also suffer with frequent migraines. My consultant has recently advised I am likely to need a hysterectomy and has discussed injections

Hello, My name is Amie and I am new to the group. I was just diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis in January. So far it has been a very painful, scary and frustrating experience! I never had any symptoms up until January and have been in horrendous pain ever since. Doctors in the hospital treated me

Confidence getting out and about
Hi all. Not looking so much for solutions as to share thoughts in a safe space (that of the 'Fellow Bewildered', as someone put it). Today I had the worst symptoms I've had in a while. Not so much the headache (which is something), but was so, so tired I think I could have stayed in bed for twenty

EYE HEALTH: RELATIONSHIP OF PMR, PRED & MTX TO GLAUCOMA, CATARACTS, & DRY EYE
Hello everyone. Vacillated on a title for this post. I'll bet I covered it all. I've been on my hard PMR journey for 4+ years. Currently on 4mg Pred daily & 20mg MTX weekly. PMR pain is under control. My eyes have wept for the past 2 yrs; at times, non stop. Eyedrops are the common advice from my Optometrist

Corneal transplant
Hi all. A very happy Christmas to you all. I apologise if this is not an acceptable question on here as it is not related to RA but it is a great platform to air the question. I am desparately worried about my brother who needs a corneal transplant. Has anyone on here had one or knows of anyone who has

Hi Folks, I’m Darrell a Fibro Warrior.
Took a very long time to get diagnosed, put on Painkillers initially didn’t work so had to get off them! Then put on Gabapentin and later on Pregabalin which I’m still on but reducing due to horrendous weight gain! On a low dose Citilopram to keep my head together. I’ve had CBT, Hypnotherapy and Talking

Last three days a complete washout exercise wise.
So, despite things generally moving fwd and progressing, I had a set back this week.My daughter who is a nurse, brought her work home with her ! In the shape of a d & v bug. She had 48 hrs off work (she's never sick !) but was in a hell of a state. A couple of days later, I start feeling rubbish. No

chronic pain
I’ve been suffering from longtime, unrelenting chronic pain for more than 30 years. The pain levels have become intolerable. No intervention or painkillers work. I have had major shoulder surgery two months ago which wasn’t a success. I now face having a total shoulder replacement. The pain is excruciating
