Last three days a complete washout exercise wise.

So, despite things generally moving fwd and progressing, I had a set back this week.My daughter who is a nurse, brought her work home with her ! In the shape of a d & v bug.

She had 48 hrs off work (she's never sick !) but was in a hell of a state. A couple of days later, I start feeling rubbish.

No d & v but a generalised exhaustion and body aches, I felt as though my knees, hip and back were encased in concrete !

Just moving and getting up and down was an effort, walking hurt, standing was agony and everytime I moved, it took effort.

Being pragmatic, I just said to myself, ok time to rest !

I feel marginally better today, so I'm going to dope myself up with painkillers and antiinflammatories and try a gentle ride on the ex bike.

But if I have to take longer to rest so be it. It's a break not a stop.

Bloody hell, I hate the way life gets in the way of our plans !

🍏 Jeff life does sometimes get in the way and we need to be patient with our bodies else it ends up taking longer!! It’s up to you but maybe another day until you don’t need the meds…

It happens to all of us and it’s a pain! The best thing is to recover fully and then think about restarting. Most of us are impatient with ourselves and I don’t think that usually pays off.

Yuk... poor you! Just rest up and feel properly better before heading out again! Make sure you are fueled and hydrated well too, after that nasty bug has done its worst!

Back in the saddle today ! Yay didn't realize how exhausted I was. Exercise bike and dumbbell exercises done, leg strengthening and a walk tomorrow.
