Thinking about giving up on diagnosis
Hi everyone. I finally had my first consultation at an endometriosis specialist centre. I saw a female doctor for the first time ever since my problems started a few years ago, which was nice. She couldn't believe that my GP surgery wouldn't let me continue with the combined pill and said I would HAVE

Aching face
Diagnosed with PMR in March 2023. Started on 15mg Prednisolone and got down to 12mg in July but not able to go down further. Pred relieved most of my symptoms and allowed me to lead an almost normal life with not too many side effects. Since then, I seem to have gone backwards and had to return to 15mg

Ablation
I had a liver oblation. The lesion was 3.2 cm. 4 days have already passed. I have acute pain with any movement and breathing. A strong painkiller helps. Is it normal for there to be no improvement after 4 days? If anyone has had such a procedure and could share their experience?

Chronic pain
I was diagnosed with bulging discs and osteoarthritis of the spine a few months ago. I've tried lots of painkillers other medication including tramadol, gabapentin, pregabalin, naproxen, nothing has helped. I was given codydramol which helped taking the edge off the pain. Uvitis when tapering prednisone
My eyes became very sore a month ago, on Christmas day actually. I had headaches around my eyes. They were very red and stingy. There was no discharge or stickiness like you get with conjunctivitis. Nonetheless, I was diagnosed with viral conjunctivitis by a GP. The condition got better but I still have

DENTAL PAIN
Hi everyone, I have written quite a few times on here, I am so glad there is a forum where people can get advice from others. It is my lifeline. Last Friday I went to see my dentist for what I thought was my bridge taken out, how wrong was I? He took my bridge out which took about a minute to do, it

Naproxen and sleep - too much?
Hi, I have recently tried taking Naproxen as I am in a lot of pain with an arthritic knee (knee replacement later this year) plus general aches and found that other painkillers weren't really helping (Ibuprofen, co-codamol) . I took one Naproxen in the morning after breakfast and after doing some work

Hi everyone,I could really do with some advice as I'm really struggling and don't know what to do. I've been in treatment for just over a year and my endo is shrinking nicely . I had Zoladex injections for 10 months with hrt. I struggled with the side effects and to find an hrt that didn't make me bleed

Paradoxical reaction to neuroactive substances
I stumbled across something interesting tied to brain structure and ADHD- Paradoxical reaction to neuroactive substances. Basically, as a result of the different signal processing of ADHD brain, certain substances (drugs) may result in paradoxical reactions. The classic example of the effect of stimulants

Evening everyone 😁 I haven't posted in a while but you have always been so great with advice. I have been experiencing OC symptoms since September and have finally got my date for an exploratory laparoscopy on the 13th of June. I am REALLY struggling with the pain now 🥲 it has gotten steadily worse
