Last week i had Endo for 3-4 days on the roll, today its a little bit snipping but otherwise not too bad.. I am waiting for a medical review soon, i'm just wondering if i should ask to have the dosage of my painkillers upped ,(they are currently 80 (codeine) plus 500 (paracetemol), so i don't know what to do. The pain is mentally overwhelming sometimes. I feel lonely about it sometimes

I know what you mean. Even though I have a wonderfully supportive partner, he doesn’t get it. No one who doesn’t experience endo knows how it feels and you get some incredibly ignorant people who just think it’s painful periods.
Anyway, painkiller-wise, if they’re not cutting it, absolutely ask them to up your dosage. My advice is to ask for amitriptyline. It totally changed things for me. It’s not just a painkiller, I think it blocks the pain signals or something like that and there’s far fewer side effects. Before they put me on that, there were days I couldn’t get out of bed. Seriously, you want this stuff. It’s brilliant.
Best of luck to you x
Thanks Charlatan, i will certainly mention it on friday to my doctor when they ring me up for my 6 monthly review, thanks for being there, i don't feel so bad today, its not bothering me today, but there are times when its every bleedin day and i writhe on bed in pain. I think my late mother might've been on amitriptyline, fingers crossed they will allow me to have it, cos basic painkiller fro m the shop or prescribed co-codamol just isn't working.
All the best, from Val
