Eating disorder referral
I think I may have an eating disorder so I asked my GP fro a referral. However, I am worried about whether it will be taken seriously. 7 months ago, I was obese, but since then, I've lost 17 kg (with little exercise) and I have a 'normal' BMI. So, I am worried that because my weight and BMI is fine if

Words fail me.
Hi I am writing after a long arduous recovery attempt. I have one a long way from my very anorexic days when my head constantly chattered to me about fat and how to not eat, weight and constant calorie calculations. For over 30yrs I lived like that and then one day met a therapist who I seemed to get

Has anyone recovered, and if so how?
Hello, I have tried so many things; GP, Counselling, Hypnotherapy, general boot camps, self-help books, hobbies, online groups and face to face support groups but I still cannot shift this debilitating disorder. Does anyone please have any successful methods used to overcome eating disorders. I would

Binge eating and falling out of routine
Hi everyone, I'm new here, thought I'd give this a go because it feels like I've tried everything else. When I was 17 I went down from size 22 to size 10 in about 6 months. Since then I've been putting on and loosing weight mostly due to my binge eating and that's been the case for the last 3 years

I want help after 6 years
When I was 15 I was diagnosed with anorexia- I went from being an international athlete with a muscular build to losing 25kg over 6 months. I was placed as an outpatient at an eating disorders clinic where I went in for assessment every day. I lost sport and I lost all my friends. I was weight restored

This week, I am going to..... plan!
After my successful weight loss last week (2.2lbs) I have already completed my food diary for the coming week and thought I'd share it with you. I tend to have just two meals a day (that's just how I prefer to split my calories). Please note that I am on a very low calorie allowance as I am very short

I'm failing
I am trying to lose weight. According to my scales I am now 15 stone. A month ago I was 14 stone. They are digital, and known to be unreliable, but I feel like the cycle is repeating anew and I can't seem to stop it regardless of how much I exercise, how regulated my diet is, what I actually eat... I'm

Yay! Managed to reign it back in!
So last weekend (Bank Holiday) was hit with several occassions that meant I was eating more that I usually would: Friday: Pub lunch (I had gammon, egg and chips) and a slice of very delicious HM carrot cake at the tea and cakes following my step-dads memorial service. Would have been easy to eat more

New here
Hi there! I'm 19, female, 80kgs and 155cm (BMI ~33). I have PCOS and I'm really struggling to make any headway losing weight, so here I am! I am a really busy uni student so I don't have a lot of time to cook or put much effort into my food at all, which has led to some pretty unhealthy habits and choices

Lazy day
I literally don't want to do anything today. Well, in the morning I wanted to run, bit it's my rest day, so... no running. I weight myself in the morning, just to see higher number than yesterday :( not much, just 54.4kg (comparing to 54.2kg). I know daily / weekly normal fluctuations plus different

Are the basics of weight loss. Your body had to work harder when you drink ice cold water You can burn up to 100 cal if you drink ice cold water. Drink water before meals. Turn your body back into fat burning machine. Drink plenty of green tea to shed the pounds. Water will help our tumm be flat

Admitting lossing this battle
But hopefully not war. I was doing fine, for some time. Then, slowly it all felt apart. My healthy diet, my exercises, my motivation... I think I back back to square one. Not sure if I have enough strength to start again, to push myself somehow to do it. No faith in my persistence or anything long term

Am I doing anything wrong?
Hi, my weight loss is very slow so was just wondering if I could get your opinion on my food... Breakfast Usually 50g oats with two spoons peanut butter, flaxseed and a few nuts. Lunch Normally some wholemeal sandwiches with turkey or chicken salad a packet of low calorie crisps and a yogurt. Or

Hello everyone
I've just joined. I'm female, am about 1m68 tall, but have no idea how much I weigh as I am too scared to go on the scales. I have always been large, done countless diets and a few years ago lost a lot of weight (on my own) but then got lax about it and have put most of it back on. I don't want to have

Daily Diary - What I did and what I ate!
Hello lovely people, How has your day been? I hope it's been nice and warm where you are? I had a trip into London for a meeting. As I strolled down the garden at 8.30am and sniffed the roses that are in bloom, I thought "I'd rather spend the day here!" especially as the meeting is in relation to
