Feeling depressed
I'm sorry to hear that your mood is so low, Ange, is it worth making an appointment with your doctor, to see if you could get some help?
It's not good when you can't sleep, because that seems to magnify any problems and then you get into a vicious circle. Maybe you could try some meditation/relaxation techniques at bed time, because everything looks better after a good night's sleep.
Sending you a big hug and wishing you happy
Good way to relax Ange is to do a simple breathing exercise, especially when you are lying in bed trying to sleep. Just breath in to the count of 3 and breath slowly out to the count of 6, keep doing it and concentrate on relaxing the whole of your body from the head down. It takes some practice but it will make a difference. Take a note book to bed and if you wake up and have worries, write them down to get them out of your head and do the breathing again to get back to sleep. You could try nytol, herbal sleeping remedy that is not addictive.
It is always harder to loose weight when we feel fed up, well done for sticking with it.
To try and get some positivity back you could always come along and have a go at the happiness challenge, we are a supportive bunch. I admit it can be hard some days but I have found my mind set has improved greatly since taking part. You can find it in pinned posts if your are interested.
When were are tired our worries always seem worse. I hope you start to feel better soon and I am sending you(((hugs))) too🌺🦋
aw bless you, sorry your feeling so low, try not to worry that you havent lost weight this week, if your walking thats good for you, have you measured yourself, i find i might not have lost pounds but might show that ive lost a cm off my waist. Take each day at a time. dont be too hard on yourself, it will come off , you might find you have a bigger loss next week. Sending you a Big Hug, take care xxx
Thanks gaynor 123, worry is me all over , and yes I did start with the measuring myself , and got out today for a walk , feel a tad better , thanks 👍
hope your feeling much better,x
Sorry you are feeling a bit down. I hope the worries are something that you have control over and can do something about. Great advise about relaxation from moreless and lucigret. A nice warm bath with a few drops of lavender oil before bed works for me or a few drops on my pillow. That worked very well for my children when they were stressed about exams.
Well done for sticking with it.
Thanks wacky woo, I have shed loads of worries ranging from housing issues to basic lack of support thus have to fend a lot for myself and my kid , thankfully I have the ability to take some steps to rid myself of the stresses, whilst I,m out walking , running I feel I get a better grip on the reality and more able to address it , wierd but I think the more I can improve upon my health , weight, eating and general thinking the more I can cope , yesterday I found hard , but as I've discovered lack of sleep is a downward spiral into low mood , today been a tad easier, keep going though 💪
Hope you feel better soon, Gary
I hope so , and for you too Gary,✨
