Do i have an eating disorder?
I have anxiety/panic disorder, combined with emetophobia, which throughout my life has resulted in a little depression. I've noticed my eating has dramatically changed since being diagnosed and i don't know why. I am very slim but i always have been, i am NOT concerned about being overweight, i don't

Depression?
Hi, I'm new to this sort of thing but as someone who's not very good at opening up about things, I thought I'd give it a try. Basically I've been strugg;ing with feelings of worthlessness and low self-esteem for just over a year. I graduated from University in 2013 with an amazing girlfriend and felt

I've realised I need to do something as I'm finding my clothes are getting a bit snug now... I've put on huge amounts of weight on my tummy and thighs, and it's time to do something about it! I tried the 5:2 diet last year and went from 85kg to 75kg so pretty good, however I got bored and found it hard

This diet is really achievable. Now at my goal weight 12.5 st i am 1.80m, Started 14.3st Need to decide if i want to lose more, might aim for 12 st and see if it can be done feeling pleased with myself . At my pre diet weight i was definitely looking like a typical over weight middle aged man now feeling

Binge eating
I'm pretty sure I have Binge Eating Disorder, but I haven't wanted to bring it up to a doctor. I have told a couple of people close to me but I don't feel like most people take the issue seriously which makes me feel ashamed and not want to open up about it. For a few months, I feel the urge to binge

Eating habits change tomorrow
Just got on scales and can't believe how heavy I am. I'm emotional overeater and it's got to stop. So, tomorrow is day 1 of my commitment to get to healthy weight. Need to lose 75lbs in total but 1st goal is 10lbs. As of tomorrow, I begin to put my life in order and get back to the healthy eating habits

Cooking From Scratch
I'll be 70 in April. I started cooking when I was about 10, I learned from some very good cooks I met. I cook from scratch, buying bulk foods, Quinoa Brown Rice. I cook them together...same water grain ratio, lessens the high price of Quinoa by mixing it with lower cost long grain brown rice. I spend

Oat & Blueberry Pancakes - low calorie and yummy!
Here is a nice low calorie recipe for all your lovely people out there. Don't expect it to taste like the really lovely traditional thick pancakes - but it really helped me the other day when I had a sweet craving at lunch time (darn the hormones!) I had just these for my lunch but they could work

Week 1 update
Its been a real nightmare this week, in my attempt to cut down on sugar it has driven the cravings out of control, I am in complete denial about the extent of my problem. I am ashamed to say that I have been binging in the evenings on Xmas biscuits and chocolate and feeling terrible guilt even before

Vegetarian Sausage casserole
Making this tonight. Going to have it with mashed swede (with butter) instead of potatoes. There is a rice pudding in the oven as well. But I'm not eating that! Though I really want to. :) Sausage and vegetable casserole there is garlic, thyme, bay leaf, a bit of paprika and cumin to flavour it.

Help eating at work
Hi all, I need some help/ advice on what I could eat/ foods to avoid at work. I work on the rigs in the North Sea and I'm on a 2 on/2 off schedule. Unfortunately it's not conducive to weight loss. I have asked a couple of times and the kitchen aren't able to supply even basic calorie info on the food

Feeling so down!
Happy New Year folks before i depress you all further. I had been feeling okay for a while there but i can feel myself slipping big time. I have totally lost my lust for life. The only thing keeping me motivated is my kids. My fiance broke up from work on the 20th dec and has done nothing in the house

It's day 2 and I still don't know if I'm coming or going. This way of eating is so different from what I'm used to - I keep having to remind myself that this isn't about counting calories and I should get the phrases 'fat free / low fat' out of my head Something pleasantly surprising happened though

Binge Eating Disorder.
Hello everyone :) I really struggle with my weight, I looked up ED's and found BED. I think I have this. I hate eating in front of other people as I feel they are judging me. So I copy what other people eat and console myself by bingeing later on by myself. I spend horrendous amounts of money on food

Help?
So, I've been bulimic for 9 months now and I'm scared to tell my parents because I'm worried that they'll just laugh it off or mock me or something. I was really obese at 72 kg but now I'm overweight at about 55-56 kg. I really want to lose weight healthily but every time I start a diet, I screw up and
