After bicalutimide and a high testosterone level is pre treatment T just guess work?
Just turning to fellow travellers on our various journeys for some input/advice/ thoughts as I make a decision on how far to push to the SOC for my high risk G9, given my oncologist is saying 15 months adjuvant (I am nervous of anything less than 18 months) is enough given my co morbidities, age at 73

Update On Eclipse Trial-another failure. Has LU-177 worked for anyone?
In 2010 at the age of 59, I had Da Vinci surgery with a Gleason 4+5=9 and PSA of 9. Post surgical biopsy showed all margins clear with no seminal vesicle involvement and Gleason post-op score was changed to a 4+3=7. Subsequent PSA was non-detectable as tested every three months for the first two years

BAT and Pluvicto?
Did well on Zoladex and Apalutimide for 2 1/2 yrs. with Mets to bones. Cancer has now spread to liver and pelvic lymph nodes. Docetaxel has failed and I am now waiting to hear if insurance will cover Pluvicto. Any thoughts on starting BAT now in case Pluvicto doesn’t happen? Can you do both at the

I am on Lupron as the only current PC treatment. Testosterone is <>1% as of Dec/18. PCP is looking to get me on (very expensive , hard to get) Serostim to help me with HIV/PC wasting SE's Thoughts, please be kind as ADT makes me get upset for nothing. Thank you.

High-Dose Transdermal Estradiol as ADT
Does anyone have any experience with this? According to my understanding: It's not FDA approved, but used here in the U.S., and all over the rest of the world. It's at least as effective in lowering T to castrate levels. It carries a far more tolerable profile of SEs than LHRH drugs, presumably

Estradiol patches
How can I obtain Estradiol patches without a prescription? (I assume I can’t get a prescription, since I am male.) This has been discussed on the list before, I think. Is there someone in Thailand who will supply Estradiol patches or the equivalent? If so, is this a reliable source? Thank you

Promising, especially for people with LBD mutation: NEJM Evidence publishes results from Phase I/IIa CYPIDES trial with ODM-208
"In phase I, 20 out of the total 47 patients had AR LBD mutation. In phase IIa, all 45 patients had AR LBD mutation. A decrease in PSA (prostate-specific antigen) levels of 50% or more occurred in 14/19 (73.7%) patients with AR LBD mutation and 2/23 (8.7%) AR-wild-type patients in phase I, and in 24/

Painful tendons and prednisone
Hello friends how are we doing. I hope everyone had a warm wonderful, merry Christmas. I have been experiencing a great deal of what I would call tendinitis in my left arm. No it’s not a heart attack type thing I’m left-handed and definitely use my left hand for almost everything. Anyway, to get to

Still confused about PSA and Testosterone testing
I have been reading posts here for some time and there seems to be a split between those who only get PSA tests each time they go to their doctors and those that get both tests each time. I had a baseline testosterone test before Lupron and before radiation. I am now doing my 6 month follow up and

What testosterone test should I get in my final blood test prior to HT starting?
Hi All, I intend on getting my own blood test that will form the baseline for how the future HT is working. When it comes to getting testosterone tests, I note there are a few to select from. Which one should I get from the following list? 1: Testosterone Free/Total + SHBG 2: Testosterone Total

Thyroid results
Hi. I have been struggling with chronic fatigue and joint pain for almost 12 months. I have had Thyroid tested and all normal according to GP. I'm in surgical menopause and taking Testosterone, Oestrogen and Progesterone and all my levels are good for those so I'm wondering if it could be thyroid related

Hormone concerns prior to ICSI
So far I have found that on a day 21 test I have normal levels of
estradiol
but low progesterone and
testosterone
. So I have low pH/E2 meaning my body is acting like I am in estrogen dominance.

Experience, thus far with Lupron and Abiraterone
I am 78 years old. I was diagnosed in May 2022 with PCa after my PSA was measured at 23.79. I have no other health issues. Following the determination that PCa was still within the prostrate capsule and had not spread to any other organ, I was placed on Lupron (6 monthly IM injections for 2 years). Clinically

Testosterone increase after injection
I recently had my 6 month dose of Camcevi 42mg and my testosterone went from 7 t0 55 rights after the injection. My PSA remained the same at 0.1 . Is this normal for my testosterone to jump 48 points. Oncologist says he is more concerned with my PSA. Also the injection of the Camcevi was in my lower

Got retested/ tested for testosterone levels
I got restested and testosterone level checked. Thought I’d share for your interest. Seems like my TSH improved a little actually, so maybe the crazy strict diet helped.

WHAT ARE THE CURRENT EFFECTIVE SALVAGE TREATMENTS IN CASE OF A REOCCURRENCE IF YOU HAVE HAD SBRT,IMRT, WITH PLACEMENT OF GOLD BARS?
It appears that if you had SBRT or like myself IMRT and you were given
gold markers
you cannot do any of the following
salvage treatments in case of a reoccurrence
: Proton therapy, Hifu, Tulsa Pro , Etc. Is this true???? Again a significant fact left out before treatment...

combining standard PCA care with alternative care
In a three month period my PSA went from 58 to 70. Obviously my testosterone was producing more new cancer cells than my alternative treatment. I started the combination treatment on Dec 1 by taking 2 ORGOVYX. Dec 15 my PSA is 27.5 and I will take one more ORGOVYX today hoping to reduce PSA to 10
