Epidural Anesthesia

During the last 2 years I have had over 18 epidural shots and 5 nerve ablations in my sacral and my back. I fired my rheumatologist because of the lack of treatment and results. During this time I was complaining about my feet and hands turning purple accompanied by tingling and burning sensation.

Can someone please put my mind at rest, i have to have a spinal epidural injection and the thought of it is making me ill. this is to see if it will stop the pain before they decide the outcome for a fusion operation. scared stiff of needles please has any one had this procedure and what was the

He`s already done a collagen injection that didn`t work, so now I`ll have to have a more complicated procedure which will mean either an epidural or a general anasthetic, plus several days in hospital.

Hi Not been on for a while as went back to work and just been cracking on with things. I am due to have a caudal epidural injection in both sides of my spine. Ive been 17 years with no control for weeing/ back/leg/feet/arm/hand and face pain, only found out about pain clinic 2 years a go. Since then they've done quartrisation, lidocane and most other treatments.

I went for pain management assessment yesterday by surgeon,apparently they are going to give me epidural in the area of the fusion via Carterter,anyone had this done?

In the last year I've got ganglion impar, hypogastric and epidural. It does help but after a sudden pain yesterday that was so bad I couldn't sit I was scheduled for a new type of injection, Pudendal block. I just got home and I feel absolutely no pain.

Instead of a PCA I'm having an epidural for pain relief as it's been recommended for me by a pain specialist, I'm usually very drowsy after a general and I've had problems with the ward I'm being admitted to. If you've had this surgery what was your recovery like? And how are you now?

Two years ago I also got a prolapsed disc in my lower back and issued with the facet joints which i have had all the epidural and steroid injections, de-nervation twice and if this doesn't work the disc will have to be fused or removed, im now 27. I also have IBS!

Rheumatoid arthritis, hypothyroidism, degenerative disc disease, desiccated discs in three lumbar spine levels, carpal tunnel syndrome, enhanced epidural fibrosis, progressing narrowed facet joints in two lumbar spine levels, sciatica, and now im sure depression. What to do?!?!?!?!
