Epidural Anesthesia

hi, so after having my first epidural last Thursday for ‘Pelvic congestion syndrome’, I am now in More pain!!! AND developed piles!!! Anyone else relate? 😩

hi, I’ve been referred for an epidural after 18months of pelvic pain. Does anyone have any experience of this? xx

Did you have general anaesthetic or epidural?

I asked if it could be done with an epidural, he was quite negative about that aswell and said it's more dangerous that GA!? I was thinking about all the pregnant women that have it every day. I was wondering if anyone on here had looked in to Stem cell treatment as an alternative to surgery?

Difficult birth with forceps and an epidural. Id recommend not to mess about and just get the epidural why suffer when we don't need to. If my story helps anyone or anyone wants to ask me questions please do. All hope is not lost especially for those my age. Never give up x

Like I said I am a bit anxious about the procedure as I am told I will have an epidural not a general anaesthetic and I was wondering what to expect and any tips on getting through this and the recovery. I have been told that my other knee will need replacing but I am unsure when.

Epidural for the op and played nice music through my ear buds to drown out the sound of the team and the sawing and hammering 😬. All’s well. Managed to walk with a zimmer this morning. Taking all meds as it’s painful but feeling good.

I’m aware of my issues regarding medication ie allergy to warfarin but ok with heparin and have opted for an epidural but my concern is with the implant itself being rejected. thank you.

I was seeing a PA and all he did was send me to a pain clinic for an epidural for pain. That’s it, no see a surgeon, nothing about Osteoporosis, nothing about taking supplements, nope just mild osteopenia.

Facet injections, epidural shots, physical therapy for over a year, toradol shots. I have tried all the medicines for pain. Naproxen, gabipintehn, ibuprofen, morphine, oxycodone, fentanyl patch. The best medicine that actually helps my pain is oxycodone.

Has anyone had an epidural steroid injection for shingles pain? I am scheduled for one and I'm scared. I have had trigger point injections in the past, but those go into muscle where this would go to the nerves that shingles infect.

A long day of waiting around, a failed spinal block and epidural to holding the mask to send me of to sleep; then waking up in a bit of a lather as I was so damn hot and poor nurses trying to protect my modesty as I tried to uncover myself to cool off.

I am not allowed "general anaesthetic" due to my heart and lung conditions, I have always has an Epidural "Spine anaesthetic" even for a hernia op 10 years ago. Problem is I now have a condition called ""Loss Lumber Lordosis" and that means I have lost all curvature in my spine.

I asked to not get the epidural as I did not feel that it had significant pain relief after and explained what happened last time. The guy promised me that they would have IV morphine ready for me and he will authorise this himself.

had reflexology and went into a bit of a dreamy state so started say I could see dolphins laughing and they were saying come with me..... reflexology told husband , that then relayed to the team who visited the next day, I was also saying and acting out I couldn't move my legs, which come from the epidural

Their website mentions epidural for the anesthesia but it’s now Propofol infusion with O2 mask, you’re out, very smooth. Takes about 45 minutes to place grid/tubes in the perineum, you awaken, get a quick CT & MRI, then to holding area for 30 minutes.
