Enemas for constipation
I am taking flecainide and bisoprolol for my afib. The medication is doing fine but I’ve got what I believe to be Pelvic Floor dysfunction. Basically one of my rectum muscles (at exit) is contracting when it should be relaxing. I’ve got biofeedback physio on Monday but wanted to know if anyone has experience

Interesting new targeted therapy trial
I like this company’s mission. They have a Phase 1/2 trial underway at Mass General in Boston with a new miRNA-10b treatment. https://www.transcodetherapeutics.com TransCode’s lead therapeutic candidate, TTX-MC138, is a targeted therapy designed to treat cancer patients with metastatic cancer,

Zolodex and HRT
hi there, my diagnosis is very new and I’ve just had my first zolodex injection this afternoon. I was also given HRT patches containing oestrogen which I’ve put on. But I’m confused as the zolodex surely stoped oestrogen production so why have I been put on patches that give it back? Surely it will counteract

How to convince your GP a suppressed TSH is ok?
For years I’ve had a suppressed TSH following a trial of T3 probably 5 years ago which didn’t work and I haven’t taken it for around 4 years (need to check my records for exact dates). My GP has always been fine with it, and even the rubbish NHS endo agreed it would take time to recover - or as I know

Holistic POSITIVE results
Hello, I was dx with PD in 2019. I’ve progressed to stage 3 and have tried a lot of synthetic meds. I wont take tgem if the side effects worsen my current symptoms. That excludes most. I have read a million articles on new and upcoming tests and trials. I’m tired of chasing the rabbit. Although I cant

Vocal chord damage in thyroidectomy
Hi all, I had a total Thyroidectomy 2 days ago which was a difficult op. My thyroid had grown so large it was pressing on my larynx, growing downwards to my chest, and growing round the back of my oesophagus. In previous surgery for breast cancer 2 years ago they were unable to get the breathing tube

Missing a day of Zytiga
Is it a big deal to miss a day of Zytiga+Pred? I’m having a knee replacement on Monday and I’m not supposed to have any food in the AM.

Knee replacement - biologics
Had an appt with knee consultant today. Need a replacement done but he won’t commit to doing it until I get a ‘meds plan’ from my rheumatologist re biologics (I’ve recently started on Amgevita). He wants info on how long before surgery to stop taking it. I’m also on Methotrexate and Sulphasalazine but

Question re:periods
Hello everyone, Up until I started Levo in May this year I was having regular periods every 4 weeks. I think it was my own cycle rather than just an hrt “withdrawal bleed” from my hrt, as the periods were very heavy each time and lasted about 7 days. I had spells of missing a couple of periods here

red light therapy
Hi I have been looking into the benefits of red light therapy for muscle issues and wondered if anyone had tried this - I can’t see any contradictions with hydroxi and will be mainly using this on my neck , upper back and thyroid areas - I know this won’t help ET as such but using for other issues.

Good Morning Just giving you an update after my gynecology appointment 12th October at the hospital. I have to go for a hysteroscopy the doctor thinks the thickening in my womb is lack of hormone or was due to the HRT I was taking previously, she also may do a biopsy to make sure all is fine. She has
