Anyone swallow lots of air? Aerophagia, I think they call it.
I seem to swallow a lot of air, no idea how, drinking, eating, even talking maybe. But it kinda locks my stomach up like I can't breath, then I panic of course, until I'm able to belch and I do quite a lot. I have read up about it and apparently it's quite common with anxiety. I have had an endoscopy

Gastritis. As always. Now parietal cells. Now serum gastrin level elevated. Antiparietal antibodies. Have

Good morning, I am due an endoscopy at the end of the month to look at my oesophagus. I had a bad bout of reflux, without heartburn but just acid burning my throat. This then lead to breathlessness, or rather a feeling of being unable to get a deep breath. The GP prescribed omeprazole 20mg, which took

Hi! In new here and this is my first time posting. I feel like I’m going insane and my whole family thinks I’m a hypochondriac and honestly that’s what I hope too!! Im a 30 year old female. A few months ago I started having dull stomach pain. I wouldn’t even call it pain, more of an empty gnawing feeling

Looking for more information please - family might be sugar coating and I would like to be prepared...
Please let me know if this doesn't belong here (and apologies in advance if that is the case)! I am trying to get more information about my dad's cirrhosis and what I should be expecting. My parents are protective but as an adult child I would appreciate any insight you all can offer. I know that he

Confused about results
Hi. I recently had a blood test that is positive for celiac disease. However after getting this result any symptoms have gone. I am still eating gluten as advised by dietitian until I have endoscopy test. Why have the symptoms suddenly gone? Is it possible to have a positive test but not have celiac

Improving survival rates
Hi all, I had Ivor Lewis in June due to adenocarcinoma at lower junction. I went to go in September 2017 after problems swallowing certain food. This progressively became worse to the point I could only manage clear soup that was passed through blender and sieved . After several visits to go and hospital

I know this is actually good news but my reaction was shock, disbelief, confusion.. how could this be? is it possible that I could have a negative blood test and still have a postive endcsopy. Colonoscopy & Endoscopy
Hi All, Along my hypothyroid journey I have developed some gut and swallowing (silent re flux) problems. I have been recommended to have a colonoscopy and endoscopy with sedation. Having both procedure done at the same time... was also told I should not feel or remember anything. Having it done privately
