After the surgery I tried several

Grandma again.
Hi all, grandma had a bad bleed yesterday, both ends. They gave gave her an endoscopy and some banding early hours of this morning, still no straight answers from Drs. Can portal hypertension and varices be managed without surgery? And how? I don't think she'd survive an anaesthetic bless her. I can't

Post HIFU
I had HIFU procedure July 2018. My PSA was a 7.3, but After a drastic diet changed, I lowered it to a 5.3. I had a Gleason 7. After 6 weeks I have pain trying to urinate. I still have subra cartherter in. Doctor may use an endoscope to see if I have any blockage. Some days I have a good , slow stream

Recently diagnosed with PA
I’m just back from GP, I am due my final loading dose this afternoon, my GP said I will then have an injection every 3 months. I was querying if I should take folic acid with b12 injections, my folate level is 4, the range is between 4-20 so he said I’m not low. I have been taking a few folic acid tabs

Another bump in the road
Well been having issues with certain foods staying down & itching like crazy! My ONC. decided to do my body scan & an MRI to see whats up. Well, the scan came back fine the same as 4 mos. ago no growth. But the MRI showed a mass outside the pancreas. So, a endoscopy was scheduled. This was more intense

Very worried person
Hi, I’ve been drinking too much for years, and I knew it would catch up with me at some point. It’s not bottles of high strength cider, vodka, or Special Brew, it’s just a daily intake of too much over too long. I have been diagnosed with liver disease after a varices bleed due to portal hypertension

Chronic Appendicitis vs. Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) - Chronic Appendicitis Does Exist
I am writing because the word needs to get out. Chronic appendicitis does exist! Here is my story. My son was a freshman at college and became ill in November 2017. His stomach hurt, had lower right quadrant pain, vomited and had diarrhea. His symptoms would lessen and worsen depending on the day

Endoscopy tomorrow
Anyone conducted an endoscopy before? How does it work? What do you feel? I'm scared that i may get a lot of side effects and make my muscle pain worst than it already is.

Diarrhoea all night
I have been awake all night with the most painful diarrhoea of my life. I suffer from IBS-D and can manage it fairly well but I think this could be a stomach bug/ food poisoning. I would usually be on the Imodium but as I don’t think it’s ins related I want to try and let it run it’s course and flush

Hi ladies. I did the chemo on Monday. Cisplatin and gem. I was being sick which is normal for me at the moment. Mid afternoon I started vomiting ground coffee vomit. Lots of times. At the end of chemo they said go to A&E. I’m back in hospital. Endoscopy showed my stomach has basically been shut off

Autoimmune blood test
When I first started on this journey in February this year it was with my yearly diabetes check. It came back showing various abnormalities including anaemia. This then meant that I'd go to see a haematologist in june this year. A wait of around 12 weeks. They were thinking bowel cancer and put me on

Nervous
Hi I'm new to this site but not to anxiety. Has anyone ever had bloating and intestinal contractions? I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy and everything was ok. A bit of gastritis.

Rough morning
I was getting ready for work this morning as usual. That stupid queasy knotty feeling started again in the pit of my stomach that went a split second into my back. Within a split second I was like "what's that?! knowing it's the same thing I've been dealing with for weeks. It threw me into a mini anxiety
