I am 19, a college student, and currently diagnosed with Atrial Tachycardia. It only affects 10% of people worldwide. I am having a cardiac ablation in November and was wonderi what i should expect before, during and after surgery?

Possible Stroke
I saw my Dr. last week and related an experience that I had a few weeks ago. I was lying in bed reading one of my favorite things to do and I suddenly had a sensation that I really can't describe when I stood up I felt lightheaded and when my wife came in she asked if I was okay and I couldn't respond

Pace and AV node ablation
Hi. I would appreciate any members who have had pace and ablate giving me feedback on results for them. Cardiologist says that as I have episodes every week lasting approx 20 hours and a heart rate reaching 175bpm he wants me to have this procedure as he says such a high rate will eventually weaken

ICD device
Hi, been off here for a while, due to health issues. Anyway, I had an ICD implant on 12th Aug. It should have been a 3 lead connection, but halfway through the procedure, I experienced the most severe pain in the middle of my back & chest. Neither me or my EP could explain it, as my heart was functioning

Husband's adventures
Complaining of severe epigastric abdominal pain and looking really unwell, with vomiting the out of hours doctor referred him to A & E. Until now he has been a healthy 73 year old overweight and has lost four stone in 60 months, just re=educating his palate and being married to me. Still working.

Post Catheter Ablation issues
On June 12th of this year I had a catheter ablation for an arrhythmia that started after receiving another ablation on the nerves in my lower back, not sure if it's related. It's 2 months later and I notice that for the past few weeks I'll get a little light headed and my heart rate will go up to about

Sotalol side effects and an anticoagulation conundrum.
I'm a 61yr. old woman with PAF diagnosed 10 yrs ago. Episodes were becoming more frequent, and I was already up to 7.5mg Bisoprolol daily, not feeling good and neither was it controlling the AF. I started 120mg Sotalol, twice a day, 3 weeks ago, as a direct replacement for Bisoprolol. i've had 2 AF episodes

Bee stings and AF
My husband keeps bees. I was stung once about 23 years ago before being diagnosed with AF so was not on any medication, and apart from the pain, no problem. My query is has anyone had any adverse affects from wasp or bee stings whilst on medication for AF? I am ultra careful whilst husband is dealing

What are your experiences of persistent AF and treatment?
Hi all, I’m a research student looking for patients who would be interested in sharing their experiences of persistent AF and treatment, by completing an online survey. If you have been diagnosed with persistent AF and are undergoing catheter ablation, cardioversion or atrioventricular (AV) node ablation

Hybrid Ablation, 2nd procedure at last .
Having been amongst the first 20 or so in the south. West of England, to undergo this new procedure in December 2014, I am now to have the 2nd part next Wednesday 3rd June. Briefly because the diameter of my left Atrium is greater than 5mm, I was deemed unsuitable for normal Catheter Ablation but
