Scared!
So after 18 years, 11 or 12 laps, 3 depo courses and
endometrial
ablation
I am finally facing a hysterectomy next week. I'm terrified! It not the operation I'm scared off, it's afterwards. It's all the what ifs and similar.

Question for Ladies who have had endometrial ablation
Hi If you have had this procedure can you let me know what age you were when you had it done please? My "specialist" said at a previous consultation I was too young (39 in 3 weeks) and it wouldn't work. I'm going back to see here on the 13th April and I will ask again for this procedure. I'm really

Endometrial ablation
Has anyone had an
endometrial
ablation
? I am having the procedure next week and am hoping for a quick recovery as it's not as involved as a lap. It would be great to know how quickly others recovered. Thanks.

4 months post 1st Stage of Hybrid Ablation.
I suffer from permanent AF with resting HB at 80 ish and under load, anything up to 175.. I had surgical ablation on 9 December 14 & within 49hours back in AF and I was told that this would probably be the case until the wounds & Scarring healed. I have been unable to exercise with any real effort

Cryoablation or RF Catheter Ablation
Following my 3rd DC Cardioversion on Monday, it's now all systems go to get this thing well and truly fixed. I've been in and out of AF so many times since last September it's starting to get scary. From September to November I was in and out of AF every 2-3 weeks. Since my first DC CV I've managed to

Do I still need to take Rivaroxaban?
I have just had, 2nd April, an AV node ablation, so my Pacemaker keeps my heart in SNR. So do I need to still be on my anticoagulant? I had no instructions when leaving hospital as they were trying to get all the patients out the door on the evening before Good Friday! Then Saturday, hospital was on

AV node ablation 1st April
Hi folks, wishing you all a calm day. Right, first of all I must tell you I have very bad osteoporosis. On the 27 February, my husband had a knee operation, on the 4th March I picked up my chip fryer and moved it to the other part of the kitchen, whoops, a wrenching feeling! On the 9th March I phoned

Start all over again
well it is just after 8pm here in Oz and I just had a call from rheumatology to say stop taking imuran as my liver test came back and they have gone from 240 to 860 in the last few weeks. So now the good news is I have to start the three month wait again to be eligible for biologics on something new.

All done!
Firstly Thanks to all who sent best wishes to me before my AV node ablation on Monday. Well had the procedure done without sedation and done in less than an hour, accompanied by Sam Smith CD, courtesy of theatre staff at Freeman Hospital Newcastle. Everything appears to be good and I feel fine total

Problems after catheter ablation
in late 2011 I suspected I may have persistent AF. I had suddenly become fatigued climbing stairs and even got tired during the warm up for a game of tennis. This was confirmed by a consultant and I was started on Warfarin. A cardioversion was performed July 2012, my rhythm returned to normal and I felt

Hi all!! I am brand new here…. In the past few years I’ve had 2 MIs, and a CABGx2 (9/17/14)… (and lost my only brother to Afib in Sept)… I was feeling great when a sharp pain over my heart through my left shoulder to the back of my neck… the pain was intense when I laid down…. I went to the hospital

New to this
Hello all, thought I would share my experiences and say thanks as I have learnt more in the 2 days since I discovered this site than I got from any of the specialists. That's not a complaint about them as they delivered a matter of fact diagnosis and solution but not really any background or expectations
