Endometrial ablation

He suggested next step I could consider is an endometrial ablation. I am considering this before making a final decision on having a hysterectomy. I’m wondering if it might be worth trying this first. Thank you.

They have also suggested something called a novasure endometrial ablation rather than a hysterectomy. Have I been given the correct advice? If I have the ablation it will stop the bleeding but won't the fibroid still be there?

This time last year I had endometrial ablation. Mirena coil fitted and bilateral ovarian cysts removed. All has been really good. I occasionally get verve pain around port sites from my lap but generally much better.

I had a hysteroscopy, endometrial biopsy, Novasure endometrial ablation and laparoscopic Helica removal and Helica ablation of endometriosis. Sending care to others out there who need it. x

During surgery they completed a endometrial ablation to remove the tissue they found. Following surgery I was still in a lot of pain and having irregular periods.

The dr has referred me to a gynaecologist and I’ve received a call today from the secretary at my doctors telling me that gynaecology at the hospital are transferring my referral to a consultant for an endometrial ablation.

As I had had prior bad reactions to Mirena/Jaydess, he tried endometrial ablation but said the op was unsuccessful as the tissue was too deep and spongy to remove totally. After the operation I had six weeks that felt great, then went back to another mega bleed with hug fleshy lumps.

That was followed by endometrial ablation which was unsuccessful, and I returned to very heavy bleeding. I have had bad experiences with Mirena/Jaydess, and so I'm now on Zoladex plus Tibolone/Livia, that have almost entirely stopped the problems with bleeding.
