Once again I seem to be at a cross roads on my AF journey. I have been on Sotalol for some while but recently I have been having fairly frequent episodes of AF which last for quite a while, sometimes days. Because of this I had a second ablation at the end of November but unfortunately, if anything

Thanks for your earlier support for my 1st ablation. But now more questions.
I had my catheter ablation for Afib Dec. 30th. I went in with NSR, succesful ablation according to my Surgeon, and woke up in NSR. Yay!! Not so fast. In just 2 days I was walking around and doing light work, Yay! But here's the thing, on Jan. 7 at 6pm I went into Afib and it has continued even

AV node ablation on Friday...getting a touch nervous!!
Having had 3 years of cancelling just about everything planned. Being unable to walk and talk , get up the stairs ....etc. plus innumerable trips to Leeds LGI and York. I find myself A few days away from an AV node ablation, following a CRTP insertion at the beginning of January. In one way it can't

Atrial Fibrillation.
Hi I have had atrial flutter followed by a atrial fibrillation for approx 4 years. Medication I have tried has not been helpful and I take only an anticoagulant every day. I have bouts of af, of which I am fully aware, approx 3-4 times a week, when the heart jumps between 37 and 167 for 2 to 4/5 hours

Ablation damage
Hi, Would anyone know, if there is a possibility of permanent heart muscle damage during a cardiac ablation for someone who has suffered from Wolff Parkinson White Syndrome with Af that could cause something more serious in the future and what tests would be needed to identify this problem if damage

post ablation questions/reassurance
Hey all! Just had a catheter ablation for my SVT. It was AVNRT and very close to the av node. Had some palpitations post surgery but hoping that's part of recovery. Feeling anxious for sure and fatigued by the evening but hoping it feels all OK soon. It's been just a week

cardiac ablation
my cardiologist had recommended an ablation a year ago but I choose to wait. I’ve had very few episodes on Flecinide and Eliquis. Now he’s saying my heart rate is getting too low and we need to revisit having the ablation. I’m looking for feedback from those who have had the procedure.

AV node ablation
hi all I thought I would let you know I had my AV node ablation last Friday. If you have read My posts you will realise I was scared silly about it as it is so final. Dr Graham at LGI was amazing as were all the staff. They were so careful to make sure I was as calm as I could be. The procedure

Shocked by Ablation
During a catheter ablation yesterday, I experienced a mild pain similar to heartburn. I had been warned about this and it didn`t worry me. I also, however, experienced what I can only describe as an electric shock. It was severe enough to jerk my upper body 10 or 20 degrees off the bed. I also experienced

Hello everyone I hope your all well 😊 I have been posting about my experience with STV and just wanted to update everyone. I was seen by cardiology yesterday and it was confirmed it is STV I have been experiencing. The treatment I have opted for is catheter ablation. Unfortunately there us a 6 month

The entire world is in an anxiety meltdown particularly in America! Hearts don't go out of rhythm for no reason
Having had 10 cardioversions and two ablations that left me a shell of my former self and medically traumatised me and damaged my heart, I implore you all to look deeper within yourself and attend to any old trauma from childhood any time in your life that has contributed to your carrying fear worry

Pain suspected endometriosis
I had an
endometrial
ablation
of the womb lining in 2018, and I hoped this had resolved my monthly issues. Last August, I was in pain with my tummy and had a stabbing pain in my left ovary. I have had 2 ultra-sound scans and have been advised I have an ovarian cyst on the left ovary.
