Second opinion definitely worth it!!
I was told by the previous consultant that my only options were
endometrial
ablation
or a hysterectomy. Today I finally got told that it sounds like I have endometriosis and I need a laparoscopy. Just waiting for a date now!!!!!😃

My Day for Catheter Ablation
Well, tomorrow is my day with catheter ablation. It was scheduled for two weeks ago, but my doc put it off until tomorrow. I am glad he didn't put it off any longer than he did because my shortness of breath is getting worse. I just hope it works as well for me as it did for some of you. I have learned

Cardiac Ablation
I had a cardiac ablation last July 2015 after having A-Fib 40+ years. I now pop into A-Fib every two months. My cardiologist says if it starts to happen more often, he will repeat the procedure. Has anyone else had this done twice and did that work?

Cannot get a diagnosis. Please help
He said my only options now are
endometrial
ablation
or hysterectomy. Asked for a laparoscopy, he refused and said Endo treated with hormones i.e. coil. Went to GP today and asked for referral to another gynecologist for second opinion.

Happy New Year, 3 years and still wondering
Since my last post I have had a
Endometrial
ablation
, which has worked 50%. It has made life somewhat more bearable. I was referred to the Nuerology department in April as my memory has been progressively getting worse, as has my pins and needles.

My first visit to the EP
I saw my EP today and they informed me that the 30 day event monitor showed that I had 2 events that lasted less than 10 seconds. He said there were two options that he recommended. (1) Start on Propafenone (RYTHMOL) 150mg 3 times a day. He said it will not cure the AF but it might prevent it. He said

Coming off Statins
I am a 76 year old male having had two cardio versions and one cardiac ablation. I also had two stents fitted about 3 years ago following a mild heart attack. I had been on various statins for about 5 years with muscular weakening side effects. I decided to take myself off statins (Atorvastatin

Not sure where to go next
Over the years I took the pill, had an unsuccessful coil implanted and last year had an
endometrial
ablation
. The coil had to be removed after three months because of pain and complications, and the ablation hasn't worked. I was diagnosed with PCOS around 5 years ago.
