Thanks for posting - the BIG takeaway for me is the massive difference in the complication rate between high volume and low volume centres --- 8.5% to 1.8% is very significant - is there a list anywhere of the high volume centres.
I agree with this. It is a huge variance and one I would certainly take into account. The risks are still quite high so anything that minimises this are well worth considering. It is worth noting that success rates are higher and risks lower than long term drugs (see A-Fib.com)
I had an ablation as a first line treatment (successful so far) 2 years ago in St Thomas' in London.
