First day of the new me.
Today is my first day of reduced hours at work. I am very fortunate my employer has been very supportive. I have reduced my working hours from 35 to 28 giving me a day off. Breaks the week up for me. š This will be reviewed in three months time and changes can be made either temporarily or permanently

Covid-19
The UK Chief Medical Officer has just said something very interesting, at least I hadnāt heard this before. Covid-19 is a two stage virus. First stage is flu. Most people never progress but stage 2 is viral pneumonia. The old and those with chronic diseases are more likely to move to this stage. Some

We have decided to stay in.
While all this virus is about, we have decided to stay in the house and only go out if absolutely necessary. (We are both 73 so I felt it wise). Yesterday I had to go to the opticians, no getting out of it because I have to go every year as both parents and one of my sisters had/has glaucoma. My thyroid

Any suggestions for a dry nose?
At first I had dry eyes, then I had dry mouth and now I have dry nose. Does anyone have any suggestions of how to treat it? Have you tried nasal gels?

What a week. Breast scan due Tuesday, wrong date on letter from date given over phone. Sorted that then they told me I needed longer appt for my problem. What problem? Couldn't give answer so just accepted new date next week. Now worried - did I get correct letter last time saying everything ok? Wednesday

Good news?
I just read this (and looked briefly at the referenced article) and thought it might cheer people up in this atmosphere of crisis and doom! "It may be that immuno-suppression is actually helpful. Some of the most serious symptoms of Covid-19 result from an immune system on the rampage rather than a lethargic

Cataract surgery & MS impact on vision
It's been magical: I just had cataract surgery on my right eye on Monday. And since then I no longer need glasses - short & long distance. Whoohoo The right eye happens to be the one that triggered the MS diagnosis (double vision) and whose nerve is most impacted by MS. I also thought the floaters in
